Jim Iyke (Dumaka), Uche Jumbo (Afoma), Ebele Okaro (Ethel) and Chioma Chukwuka Akpota (Nnenna) brought these characters to life. What they portrayed is as it happens in such families rich families in Nigeria. Welcome to their life and the all the in-between that outsiders do not see until you step right in as Chioma's character did.
Uche's character is that of that rich snobbish temper tantrum rich Nigerian girl and Uche delivered on every bit of this character.
Jim Iyke has come full circle with his acting and roles and has grown up as it should be. He chose a good script and delivered.
Ebele played the matriarch of this family to the tee. We have overbearing Mothers and their love for their sons especially the first one are something else and that is usually the stem of problems between Mothers and their daughter in-laws. When the attention shifts it is a volcanic explosion for Mothers.
Chioma’s character of the docile married woman asking her husband not do anything to agitate his family that will give them more cause to hate her is real.
These types of families exist in our society.
This is a very emotional movie from beginning to end that brought tears to my eyes. This is a classic for me and a keeper in my collection. Cool that the characters names are names that we can relate to. Love the children’s names Sochi and Tonna
