I was just wondering if anyone knew if whether or not she's an Americo-Liberian. The Americo's are the African-American descendants in whom foundered Liberia and controlled it right up until Doe eliminated their hold over the nation via assassinating the last Americo president and many of his Americo cabinet members in the late 80's or early 90's..

It would be a very telling situation if in fact she is an Americo... in that after years of the Americo's holding a discriminatory stranglehold on the leadership and economics of the nation, as an minority ruling group... the Liberians, after getting their first real chance at a fare and free election since the foundering of the nation... decides to oddly elect another Americo to lead them.. Now where I'm from, that's referred to as, Ironic. In comparison, the situation would be like black South Africans electing a White South African after they had achieved an end to the Apartheid period in the nation..
