Kanu Nwankwo's wife (Amara Onyeador) is my cousin.......I wish pple that are so fast to lable her a gold digger personally knew her. She is a beautiful and intelligent gurl and I’m convinced that they are getting married for all the right reasons.
Her marryin’ age is not such a taboo where I come from….. Girls in my Village tend to marry very young........my mom married at 17 and Amara's mom ( who is my mother's older sis) married at 21......She's 18, but she's quite mature for her age.
Since she was 16 a lot of men (even ones richer than kanu) started asking for her hand in marriage w/o even getting to know her and they've all been turned down.
Contrary to what was said about her, she was not a poor village girl waiting for a rich guy that was swept away by Kanu, She was an Abia State Univ student, she was spending Xmas in the Village, Kanu happened to drop by a ceremony that she attended she was introduced to her by a friend of his a year ago. They both started off as friends and it eventually bloomed into a relationship.
