When you hear Trinity, especially if you are a Christian, what comes to your mind is God, the father, the son and the Holy Spirit. But you are wrong, this Trinity has to do with Nollywood. It is the biggest thing that will hit Nollywood in the nearest future - if what movie pundits are saying is anything to go by.
For the first time in a very long while, top A-list performers like Kanayo o Kanayo; Onyeka Onwenu, Kenneth Okonkwo, Eucharia Anunobi-Ekwu, Enebeli Elebuwa, Shan George, Elder Emma Edokpayi, Acho Ugoenyi, Ben Nwosu, Lari Williams, Seun Akindele, Moyin Olutayo, Bruno Iwuoha amongst many others are coming together to make it a must watch for movie lovers.
It is a suspense filled emotional, energy sapping and nerve-wracking movie that will make viewers sit at the edge of their seats and breathlessly awaiting what happens next
When Blockbuster visited the location where Trinity is being shot, a highly elated Dickson Iroegbu whose film, “The Mayors” swept three awards at the maiden edition of Africa Movie Academy Award revealed, “This is one film that I will be proud to thump my chest and say I did a good job. I believe Trinity is the movie that will make doubting Thomas to finally realize that my winning AMMA 2005 Best Director Award was no fluke”
Kanayo O Kanayo, a veteran of many block buster movies and the reigning best actor in Africa told Blockbuster, "I don’t need to stress the fact that having been a professional actor for the better part of my life, I know a good script when I see one.
“Trinity is one movie that will shake the entire movie industry. The story is beautifully crafted and the director is doing a great job interpreting it. What you have here is well-written story, good professional actors and dedicated technically sound crew . Trinity is surely the movie to beat and I look forward to my fans watching it.
Eucharia Anunobi Ekwu expressing her own views told said: “ The script is superb. When you think the conflicts are about to be resolved, it takes a new hair raising twist. I’ve shot over fifteen movies this year alone, nothing comes close to this”
When we asked the executive producers of Trinity and top shots of Akajiuba Investments Limited, Mc Donald E. Ogueri and Pascal Cato Okereke why they are sinking over twelve million naira in one movie, a sum that can easily shoot three good movies, the duo posited, “The script is so beautiful that we had no choice than to do whatever we can to actualize it. (The script) is an intellectual cruise into literary subliming and it is totally suspense filled. We have every confidence in this young man Dickson Iroegbu and believe firmly that he will achieve the script he co-wrote.”
Trinity tells the story of three inseparable brothers whose love for each other defied human understanding; such is the strength of their bond that when the first son, Emeka played by K.O.K who is the heir apparent to the royal throne, shockingly discovered that he is an illegitimate child, rather than scheme to take over from him as most siblings will do, his brothers stand resolutely by him against insurmountable odds. Viewers will be taken thorough breath taking plots as long standing traditions, jealous and scheming wives come together to turn out a gripping family thriller.
