....One thing that people dont understand is that Kanu..in my opinion..is NOT a striker!He's what we call a 'forward',or schemer......or in modern terms,a support striker.His best @ putting the main striker in a scoring position,though he scores himself when the chance is there.His passion vision is topnotch,probably one of the best 5 on the planet.I dont even thinking Ronaldiho is a better passer than Kanu because Kanu has consistently decapitated defences with simple passes,that's his gift.Yes he's scoring this season and that's great,but anyone that watches Kanu's game knows he's a delight to watch even when he's not doing the scoring himself.75% of Nigeria's goals in the last 8 years have come through Kanu being involved one way or the other when he's playing and fit.His touches,flicks and tricks have put the likes of Ikpeba,Amokachi,Yekini,Obafemi Martins,Julius Aghahowa,Yakubu Ayegbeni,John Utaka(vs Cameroon in 2004..a 35 yard grounder pass that caught all the Lions napping
) and others in prime position to keep Nigeria's strikeforce @ the top of the African game.The 2002 World cup was a dissapointment because of injuries.I hope to God Nigeria gets another one like him before he retires...
