Obiwon quits bank for music

For over three years, Obiwon, one of Nigeria's promising artistes has been torn between two worlds. His regular job as a banker and his growing career in music. While many encouraged him to consider the vicissitudes of showbusiness and remain married to a steady, respectable income in the banking industry, Obiwon has disappointed not a few by following his heart to entertainment.

But the number of fans whose heart are gladdened by this decision is also in large numbers. So; for Obiwon, better known as, The Black Prince, it is goodbye to banking.

From now on, he has entered a warm, romantic and enduring relationship with music. There is no longer a battle for supremacy between keeping his job as a banker and pursuing his passion, music. The battle had been decided ever since he got bitten by the music bug as a youngster in the Coal City, Enugu. It was only a matter of time before fate had its way.

The next logical level now for Obiwon is to drop his long awaited video collection to the successful and critically acclaimed debut album, 'Overture' which spawned multiple hits like Get ‘Em Off Me, 'Streets Of Lagos', 'Get ‘Em Up' and the groundbreaking and compelling ballad, 'Onyinye'. All these songs has been painstakingly captured in videos that has over the last couple of months raked in acclaim in large doses from a broad spectrum of the media.

Obiwon, a member of the award winning collective, 'Da Thorobreds' has confirmed speculations by quitting his bank job so as to give undivided attention to his music career which has witnessed a meteoric rise in recent times. The new Overture Video collection will be marketed and distributed by Obaino Music.
