..Olboy...JJ was the master of the Art of football.To me,he's possibly the most naturally gifted footballer(along with Nwankwo Kanu) to come out of Africa.It's like ..with those two..they speak to the ball and the ball responds back as if to say "Yes Sir!".I remember one time we were playing against Ghana in 2001 in Port Harcourt,world cup qualifier final match..somewhere around the center circle,someone passed the ball to JJ...he trapped it in such a way that the ball spun counterclockwise forward on the turf about 8 yards...two Ghanaians,thinking he'd lost control,went after the ball...all of a sudden,the spinning ball changed directions on them and spun right back to JJ..leaving the two Ghanaians stranded as if to say "WTF"? ..then JJ just laughed wildly as the crowd went berserk!!I nearly spilled my drink when I saw that..seriously..he made those two players look stupid ...on another ocassion,as I was watching this tape called "Eagles In Flight:Nigerian goals from 1987 to 1998"....Nigeria vs Eritrea....JJ was on the right wing.....two Eritreans trying to mark him...Nigeria was already up like 4-0 so it was SHOWTIME....the ball on standstill...JJ weaved left and right..the markers no wan shake...weaved again..dem no wan fall for the trick...he just did his signature stepover with the left leg and chipped the ball between them..and the ball sped in a pinpoint pass to a streaking Nwankwo Kanu INSIDE the 6 yard box.....chei!I nearly choked on my pommo when I saw that!!Omo..JJ na wizard..no be human being..
