He had to respond to her and it's a good thing he did it just in time. Time is of the essence and any delay on Obama's part would have given the implication that he is willing to accept the post of V-President. Staying silence would have been even worse as many undecided voters would have reasonably believed that Obama was ready to accept such a ridiculous offer. Why should he accept the post when he's in the lead?

Nice attempt by Clinton to make Obama appear unreasonable and proud in the eyes of the voters, but you know what? He should be proud cos he's in the lead. I believe that at the start of campaigning if anyone would have offered Obama a lead at this crucial stage, he would have taken it. So why even think about accepting such a silly offer?
