not that i'm saying that this kind of thing is unique to Igbo people or inherently characteristic of Igbo people... just that this particular case DOES involve Igbo people. and as an Igbo person myself, i'm saddened to see it (even though i would have been just as saddened if it had happened in Sokoto).

it was mainly tongue-in-cheek, though... just an in-joke reflecting some arguments i've had with people who tried to pin this sort of stuff on Igbo people in particular.
