I use the "not at home" approach with pests and people that don't like to call first however pests will always find away, whether it is calling and catching you off guard, which will mean they know u are at home, or by retrieving some means of getting in the house enyway... ie a key.
The other problem is if you do not live alone other people will give you away and may not agree to go along with the plan, ie, the husband not wanting to ignore his daddy buzzing the bell or the baby being woken up by the noise and screming, thus giving the game away.
The other thing with pests is that they often DO NOT get the message that is being relayed to them which can result in you being rude to them causing further wahala.
I suggest leggy takes a trip to her parents/ close relative/friend's house for a little while.
