Funny you mentioned KLM. When my brother was travelling about 3wks ago, we ran into traffic but still managed to get there 80 min before the departure time. There were three people left to be processed, my brother and two caucassian persons. The oyibo people were busy sorting something out and he didn't want to jump infront of them. Eventually they approached the counter to get processed. Once they were done, they were told to hurry up and if they miss the plane they will have to pay a difference of $200 to catch the next one which is on sunday. When my brother approached the counter, the guy that was there started to process him. All of a sudden this two lady ordered him to stop processing my bro and they refused to let him go. To now make matter worse, they told him he would have to pay for a new ticket and not the same $200 deal they gave the oyibo people. My brother was furious wanting to know why the other people got a better treatment. He now requested to speak with a manager which even took us another hr and half.
I don't blame them anyway. If we hadn't messed up naija airlines all these wouldn't be happening.
