Even in your example, I am sure if you think back carefully to that day and memory serves you right, you'll find that all the shouting would have been done from the woman. At best, the airline staff will have been trying to make her see reason and NOT shout back at her.
What is wrong is wrong, BA were wrong. But my thing with them and all other airlines that do the same extends beyond just that one incident. They should learn to respect us as a people.
That's what u do in business. You deal with the situation, but don't insult an entire nation. Please, it's not done anywhere else. And whether we have an airline or not, should not determine how we get treated. We'll work on our faults, but in the meantime, we demand some respect and quality service.

OlaM, I understand you and others very well...there have been times when I felt violent watching the oyibo treat another Ghanaian or African like that. I have also witness how the events started and how it ended. Some of our people make it difficult for all of us...Business may be business, but one thing we have to know by now is that the oyibo man does not like us and resents us....that is the more reason why we should not give them the chance to disrespect us.....and the only way how is to respect ourselves first...you keep saying that they should respect us, but what about us also respecting ourselves? yes, it was going too far by removing the remaining passengers but this is what happens when we continue to mishave...we also need to speak out to our own. The citzens may have the law to protect them but a deportee does not! That is why they did not even find it necessary to have their manager or director to apologize. I do not find anything wrong with having a Naija man do the job for them as regardless, if a manager or a director had, it will not have been from the bottom of their heart anyway. There is no excuse whatsoever for them to have tied up that other dude on the other plane to his death....no excuse whatsoever...but a rule is a rule and it is time we started following it and stop making excuses.
