I know a lot of allusions have been made to this movie all over the place, but I could not actually find a thread on it. So, I just had to open one. Its old and it is FANTASTIC!!!!
It is very unfair and uncalled for that when they mention producers, writers and directors in Nollywood, all the others are mentioned in the same breath as Tade Ogidan. There is absolutely no basis for comparison.
The movie was not perfect of course.
The special effects were very laughable, and the shooting scenes could be more convincing. But the complexity of the story, the detailing in the scenes, the acting. I was spellbound. I am used to watching Nollywood movies (even the so called good ones) in front of my computer, doing something else, only lifting up my head when something interesting happens. This one ehn, I was on the edge of my seat throughout. It is very, very, very unfortunate that the Naija system does not encourage the Tade Ogidans of this world to continue to produce quality. He should make at least a movie every year. I as a consumer want to say that I appreciate his talent and I am a die hard fan.
Uncle Tade, abeg now, make more movies. You are a genius.
What was the movie about? Go find it and watch ojare. I am still in awe of uncle Tade right about now.
