1] Some women who were behind Hilary, Democrats rely a lot on women because of their social programmes will be peeved and sit it out and this willeat into his support base

2] The right wing press will play up Hussein Obama in the same way that Bush senior gave us Willie Horton and this will scare middle America a bit

3] Obama will be exposed as having no ideas. The press gave hima free ride and never pinned him down on critical issues. This was to eliminate Hilary. Now they will turn their guns on him

4] His plan to cut and run from Iraq will not go down well when scrutinized. Even though the war is unpopular, this does not automatically mean a quick retreat is ok. The generals will oppose it, big business will oppose it, the American sense of patriotism will oppose it. The right wing press will declare Al-Qaeda has beaten the US! Obama will start to flip flop when he realizes that the power blocks that be are not in favour of scarpering from Iraq. Viet Nam was bad enough but to give the US the semblance of loss for the second time in 35 years will not go down well.

5] A fifth pont, which I admit is just my speculation, is that the Republicans will probably go for Condolezza Rice as running mate for McCain. She is articulate, respected and will eat a little into Obama's minority females and males who wanted Hilary but did not get her.

The Democrtats should have gone for Hilary Clinton. They allowed the Republican press to demonize her and to give Barrack Obama an easy ride. Anytime Obama was on TV he was on his mobile or walking in a "cool" fashion whilst Hilary was portratyed as serious, frowning etc most of the time

Obama won 11 states in a row and hence his great momentum! Wrong!! He won 5 states and then Hilary won New Mexico. It was not even reported and this shows how the press is fixing the nomination for Obama!

Momentum! Momentum! This is why the Democrats must choose Obama. Forget about him turning up in Congress 130 times and voting on an issue only 30 times, the remaining 100 times he says he is present and that is all If I did that at a Kentucky Fried Chicken Board meeting, the Board will get rid of me!

A] Forget that he is the Junior Senator from Illinois and has propbably never chaired a major policy committee in his life anywhere

B] Forget that he seems to think all he has to do is turn up in DC when elected and the heavens will open and all will be well

The Repuiblicans press will destroy him.

In the past 40 years the democrats have won only 3 elections an dproduced just 2 presidents. Carter who squeezed past Ford by 2.1% of the popular vote and this was in the wake of Viet Nam and Watergate, and Clinton, the Great Campaigner

Al Gore distanced himself from Clinton and lost an election that was there fo rthe taking. Obama will go down the same route. The Democrats will be consigned to opposition for the next 12 years at least, passing useless resolutions at their congress that no one will read!
