I will take his video game like FOREVER! My goodness.... He had the nerve to be angry and he is failing to realize the seriousness of the matter. The laws of the US is to protect the child, but seriously, that same laws is spoiling the kids.... imagine doing this while growing up in Africa...I will have been spanked by my parents, the entire neighborhood, and the police. There is even an area called 'akolaboni' (sp) in Accra where naughty kids are sent to be discipline (not sure if he is too young though) and that is what his type needs....he is 7 and already thinking and speaking as though he is thirteen...by the time he actually reaches that age, I wonder what he will do...may God help his parents. I thought it was funny though when he asked if his mom could help grandma to pay for the damage....
Just recently, I heard on the radio another case like this one where a nine year old boy or so took his parents car for a ride around his neighborhood, smashing into cars....he was seen smiling and waving while driving the car...as far as he was concerned, he was driving and that was cool.
