We just came back from visiting Dozie in the hospital. The doctors have received no negative signs from the tests they ran on him today. He is still heavily sedated and medicated. He is breathing on his own. His internal organs are operating fine. We're believing God that He is doing his work on Dozie and prayed ferverently over him. We're giving thanks in anticipation for him waking up whole in Jesus' name, Amen. Please, keep praying! Keep believing in God! God bless you.

July 8, 2008We just came back from visiting Dozie in the hospital. He opened his eyes (for about a sec or two) a few times while we were there. His eyes aren't fixing on anything yet but we're hoping it will only be a matter of time. We are serving a Living God! Please, please, do not relent in your prayers. Our God will do it for us. This is as far as the doctors are saying he will go...but we know the God we serve. He will restore our brother and friend completely. Keep praying, please! Thank you so much for your prayers. I tell him everyday that people in Malaysia, Los Angeles, Australia, New Zealand, Wisconsin, Washington DC, Nigeria, etc, are praying for him. God bless you all.

Dozie seemed to be doing a bit better today. He opened his eyes for a bit longer than usual (a few seconds) at a time and did it more often than yesterday. His eyes also seemed to me to be a bit more focused than yesterday though he's still not registering anything by sight. He's still twitching, though, and I want the twitching to stop. I was a bit discouraged to find out that the twitching hadn't stopped yet, but I'm still thanking God for his mercies and his healing upon Dozie. I spoke a lot of positive words to him today. I told him to believe, believe, pray, pray, believe, fight, and I think he gave an ever so slight nod (it might have been all in my head though). It seemed to me that he was making a lot of effort to wake up so I told him to be patient and that he would get better with time. I told him that he had already come very far, and that hundreds of people all over the world were praying for him. Please, keep on praying. Your prayers lift us up too. Thank you and God bless you.

Dozie is keeping his eyes open for much longer now. His eyes still don't have focus yet but we're believing it's only a matter of time. He is also still twitching, and that I find most disturbing because it seems like he's in some anguish though I know it's a reflex action he can't control. Today, I left the hospital inspired because a wonderful woman of God (and family friend) came and prayed mightily for him.

Yesterday, the whole family went to visit the German lady who first saw him (and sent her husband to rescue him) while he was drowning. This is what the lady told us: Every night she writes in a diary that has different inspirational Christian messages as well as a picture. After Dozie's accident she was really disturbed by what she had witnessed. The picture in her diary that day was of somebody's hands clasped tightly in prayer; the accompanying message: keep praying! She framed the picture and put it in her living room and had been praying for him ever since. Whenever I feel my faith faltering I now remember that injunction. God has never and will never leave Dozie's side. Thank you for your prayers. Please, keep praying!
