Nollywood Actors and Phonetics
I have heard people complain about actors in nollywood speaking phonetically, this development I find personally inciting. People like Ramsey Nuoah, Stephanie Okereke etc, are taking Nigerian English accents some notches higher, away from the boundaries where English and our Local Dialect infiltrates.
Some actors/actress when they open their mouth to speak makes you want to hide for shame. For me phonetics is ok. What I can't stand though is actors trying to mimic American slangs, when they have no single idea how to use the phrases, and that makes me want to jump out of my skin.
What do you think folks?
