Thread: Shirleys 6 hours to christmas

I bought this movie last week in traffic, so i go watch am dutifully on December 24th at exactly 6pm!!

Can you imagine the turn of events with Sunom and some of these xters? I'm also very hooked!

Am loving the twists and turns. And the sunom overnight change from sweet, charming goody2shoes lover to gangster, mysterious, live-in danger. i heard from an in house source though that the crew is purposely trying to get rid of sunom's xter cos of his stiff acting. I guess he wasnt planned on being the real Reginald murderer or they had other plans.

I cant wait to see how Amaka handles all these once she finds out. BTW am loving the new Amaka as opposed to the old one, the new one is showing us all what the character is, a good woman, too trusting, has her own flaws etc.

And dont u just love the Titi Kagbesioye Kwara state daughter invasion drama....wanna see how that unfolds to. Ooooops! This isnt even a Tinsel thread. Its shirley's,lol.

@ Bolded...LOL, seriously? He is quite stiff, and his xter has been a bit boring till now. Yes, I wonder how Amaka will react to it all, esp with how she carried Angela's case on her head during the trial, lol. And yes, I love how Funmi Holder is doing in her role as Amaka.I guess the current storyline helps to show all those things. My niece disagrees, she liked the other actress more (UZo something, forgotten her name).

And the Shalewa-Titi Kagbesioye angle has me in stitches! Wait till everyone finds out. And I would like to see what happens with Telema/Kwame.I hope something happens, cos that Soji/Telema relationship is a snoozefest at the moment.

Sorry i also have to digress a bit,lol..... Its okay, even my siblings prefer the old Amaka, i guess its understandable, it happens once its an established xter. And yes i want Telema and Kwame to get back together, Soji is too insecured a man and that relationship has worn out. I think Kwame genuinely loves her and would treat her better than Soji does, i dunno why i feel that way, i just dont know. Soji acts like a little girl, sulking at the slightest provocation and he sure cant handle having a girfriend as hot as Telema.

Gosh! I could go on and on but i feel guilty,lol. We need to revive the Tinsel thread or create a new one.

You're so right about Soji. My neice used to call him "tarzan", always huffing and puffing his chest at the slightest provocation. He needs to grow up a bit and loose the complex! Kwame is a lot more self assured, even when he was on his wheelchair. And now that he can walk.......Soji is in trouble. All in all, there are very interesting plots developing on the Tinsel show with all the xters, so i hope it gets another season to air on Mnet.

Hey Amet!! long time. I only have a few episodes recorded recently on my PVR. Since my dvd recorder spoilt I havent been able to record and load clips o youtube like before. I'll sort something out but dont know when. Take care and have a Merry Xmas!! Afe nko be tu yen bio

Yes o, the show is getting hot and the new twist with Sheila dating Fred. These people wan kill person.....we need more seasons ojare. My mind tells me Soji would end up with Bimpe,lol.

LOL!! Sorry, we couldnt help it. And Damilola who plays Telema on Tinsel stars in 6hrs to Xmas, so we're still on topic, lol. I'll watch it at the appointed time

just watched this and it felt like I was watching something I have seen before.
It was a great film though. very well made, but it did not feel original at all. one scene was taken from pretty woman, the viagra mistake from a martin lawrence film film Chris Rock and a host of other black films.
shirleys best for me so far is A sting in a Tale.
she does not make anything original apart from that. seen too many akata movies I take it. the westernology is becoming too much.

Oh wow! Didnt realize some of the scenes were lifted. I have seen Pretty woman but i would have to see again as its been a long time.
