Thread: Career Or Kids?

I'd say BOTH, but above all if I was to pick sometime in the future to put either my career or kids on hold, I'd put my career on hold, having a family is very important to me and there's only so much that a career can do for you (I'd like to have both though...).

My take on this

Why cant we have both?

The funny my fellow class mates and I were talking about this earlier on today in school.

I think career first. Kids are blessings, but they can sometimes slow you down, and in turn you won't be able to give them the best life possible.

I'll say both. Being a mother of 2 and holding a career, although not easy is very self fulfiling, esp if u can joggle both. There are times that I wish I held on and got to a certain level in my career b4 having kids.......but most of the time I thank God for my lovely kids and would not trade my position for the world!!!!!

I quite agree with you; there's a saying - 'man proposes and God disposes' but based on my personal experience, I have to do things as I go along which means that I started off with a career, had kids, went back, had kids, continued and so on and so forth. It can work. Quality time with your children is not about the length of time but the quality. You just need to work at it, whether you're a single parent or double but personally, I enjoy both. Thank God!

I know that definitely, i cannot handle both 2gether so i've decided to pursue my career until i catch it, and then start making babies. i don't wanna go 2 school and rush back too tired to have time 4 my kids cuz i'v cooked n i still have to give them my attention...
I jus want a 9-5 job that pays my bills and buys my clothes and shoes anyway
