Playboy!
Wow, I just Watched the movie "Playboy" Starring Majid Michel, Nadia Buari, Jackie Appiah, and others.
Great Flick by the way, so guys get your copy.
Majid did a great job, the movie is a tad different from the usual African Storyline, it is very interested.
Some of the things in African movies are always overdone,
Jackie( didn't really like how she is protrayed in that movie, she has some massive tattooes and she was a bit ghetto with some massive accessories, too much, another thing, three friend going out for Lunch, they need three different SUV, couldn't they just traveled in one car just to go grab lunch.
but you won't regret bying the movie

here we go again: plenty of eye candy (beautiful ppl, lovely homes and hotels posing as homes, cars, clothes although some overdone (...ehemm...jackie)) but lacking in a quality storyline.
majid michel is cute but he's too thin for licking( ), van vicker is more my rub-down type.
btw, whats up wit Jackie's outfits and those massive tattoos on her arms? and the heavy-ass winter coat??!! and the blue contacts with the huge accessories??

Majid Michel, Nollywood King!
Majid Michel is the undisputed champ of Nollywood. No other actor is as versatile and multifaceted in his/her performance and role selection, out of Africa, then Majid Michel. Competition produces creativity, and creativity produces greatness!

Majid has been around longer than Van Vicker on Ghanaian television. However, both made their film debut in Divine love with Majid playing lead role and Van Vicker playing the supporting role. Van Vicker went on to star in Beyonce which has earned him more fans around the world. Majid is now making more movies and is in many of the films coming out, including Blood Fight, Tears of Womanhood, Crime to Christ, Passion of My Soul, the Playboy, etc.
People are starting to love him..when I went to the African movie store there was a line up for the Playboy movie-all various African nationalities-Somali to Ghana. I got my copy just before the store owner said it was sold out. I live in Toronto by the way.
Interesting thing is-Ghanaians in Ghana are more fond of Jackie and Majid (which Ghanaians fondly call "Shaker") than Nadia and Van Vicker. I think it is those outside Ghana that are most crazy over Van and Nadia.

That seems to be the truth. Vicker confirmed it in an conversation I had with him...

That is so true, I was in Ghana visiting for Two weeks, I noticed Jackie pics where everywhere, Also Yvonne Nelson and Nana Ama McBrown, so I did a little digging and I was told that Van, he is liked by many, however Nadia, they do not one bit, my friend told me that she was with Nadia at the University of Ghana, and she was never liked that much, and now that she is a movie star, she looks down on people and always think she is a tad better than the other in the Industry as well as other Ghanaians, she always claimed the she is Half-Caste and not a full Ghanain.
By the way I posted my trip review on the Journals Section, Under The Journey of Dicovery! A Glimpse Into Ghana.. check it ou

For some reason I doubt this. Out of all the biracial Ghanaian stars, I would say Nadia is one of the most Ghanaian. She not only stars in local movies, but actually speaks the language in those movies. In fact many did not even know she was biracial untill recently.
The reason why people don't like her compared to Jackie is because she is very reserved, unlike Jackie, and she does not have that bubbly personality. Many interpret that as cold or snotty-I just think she is a reserved person. Trust Ghanaians to think she is snotty-we are naturally personable people and don't understand how some people may not be so and assume they may be "too know".
Secondly, the Ghanaian public has a love/hate relationship with her father- Alhaji Buari, particularly as it relates to his position as President of the Ghana Music Association. Some of it just trickles down.
Thirdly, in terms of looks, most Ghanaians in Ghana think Jackie is beautiful and adore her. It bemuses me when people think Ghanaians have a thing for "light skin people" because most people in Ghana would take Jackie anyday over Nadia. Like my mom says-Jackie is prettier and Nadia was saved by a nice body However, she enjoys more popularity outside Ghana (giving her constant roles). This kind of creates a situation where people thinks she is getting by on her looks or "skin colour", which draws her more criticsm.
Fourthly, Jackie has been in the public eye longer-she is Ghana's sweetheart . The same applies to Nana Ama McBrown-Ghanaians adore her.

Dead on. The girl is seriously shy, its incredible she got into acting. I think she's highly misunderstood.
