Posh and Becks: Christening ceremony
A family row is said to have erupted over the christening of Brooklyn and Romeo Beckham.
The sons of England football captain David Beckham and his wife, Victoria, are to have pop star Sir Elton John, actress Liz Hurley and two members of Posh's family as godparents.
But Beckham's parents are reported to be furious that no relatives from his family have been asked to fulfil the role.
"You have to ask yourself why it is that Liz Hurley and Elton John have been asked to be godparents when David's own flesh and blood have been excluded," a source close to Beckham's family told The Daily Mail.
"David's dad has had a real go at him about it, but he just shrugs his shoulders and has more or less said that there is nothing he can do about it."
Brooklyn, five, and two-year-old Romeo are to be christened at a ceremony on December 23 in a chapel built in the grounds of Posh and Becks' Hertfordshire mansion.
As well as Sir Elton John and Liz Hurley, Victoria's brother, Christian, and sister, Louise, will be named as godparents. But the source told the newspaper: "David has two sisters but you would not have known it from the way they have been ignored.
"They feel humiliated and upset because Victoria's family are there on the ground, making the arrangements and playing such a big part in it, while the Beckhams are being treated like an afterthought."
The source suggested that 30-year-old Victoria, who is pregnant with the couple's third child, refused to allow Beckham's sisters the honour of being godparents.
Real Madrid star Beckham, 29, feels unable to protest as a result of the unrest caused by his alleged affair with Rebecca Loos, the source added.
