CAMPUS LIFE 7 (RATED 18!!!)


ONDO TOWN

Bigmomma sat inside the little house with her mum who is busy plaiting her hair. Her father has gone to the town meeting. There is a talk of desecration in the Land, that’s definitely one of the things she hates about village life. At least they have a new chief priest now, the youngest the village has ever had. She might actually be older than him in age, maybe that’s why there are so many rumors surrounding him. Some say he appeared from the forest, others say he is the incarnation of an ancient chief priest. Of cause the rumor is amongst the younger people, though she has not been bold enough to ask her father about the origin of the young Chief priest. Still she believes he is the son of the last Chief priest. Yes her place is called a Town, but a lot of them are still engrossed in Village culture and tradition. She can’t wait for GRAFIK to marry her and take her to Lagos, so she can enjoy city life. Their Love for each other has grown stronger; she can’t wait for his next visit. Her mother knows that whenever she is this silent, she must be deep in thoughts. She smiles and strokes her daughter’s head, this woke her from her day-dream and she turns her head to face her mum and gave her a big smile.


MR VINCE’S RESIDENCE

Obariba couldn’t wait to see her fiancée Khamileon to tell him about the plans she and her mum had made so far concerning their wedding. She knew he would fall on the floor laughing, because they are yet to graduate. Still she is almost bursting with excitement; she is part of Khamileon.s family now and has her own keys to the house. She sluts in the key and opens the door, the sight that greeted her makes her dizzy. Peculier eyes were swollen…blood shot red and tears still dripping, her Mum Oloafol’s clothes were torn and wet…her hands pulling at her hair…her husband Vince is trying his best to Console her. Doctor NTB hands were on Khamileon stroking him. He turns around when she enters and their eyes met. Obariba felt a sharp pain in her chest as if someone has stabbed her with a knife, because there were no emotions in Khamileon’s eyes… just like staring at a lifeless body. This sends chills down her spine. She musters all her strength and moves forward towards them. Without warning Olaafol screams as she leaps and grabs her clothes holding them very tight

OLAAFOL: Obariba you have killed my son!!! What have I done to you o!!!!!!
Obariba is even more confused; Mr Vince grabs his wife and pulls her away from Obariba, not realizing how firm her grip on her is… Obariba’s blouse rips and she grabs it trying to cover parts of her bra that is exposed. Khamileon head is spinning …everything around him is now like a moving picture going in slow motion. With tears dripping from her eyes Obariba whispers

OBARIBA: Khami what is the matter?..... (She moves closer to him) Please darling, don’t tell me the Marriage is off because it will kill me (tears now pouring out uncontrollably) Sweetheart what is the matter..?? (Looking around not knowing who to face… she lets her hands go exposing the bra Khami bought her. Mr Vince looks away holding his wife who is ready to spring again. The Doctor felt very sorry for Obariba. She puts her hands around her and makes her sit. )

DR NTB: Obariba! The news about Khami is very sad, so I might as well be the one to tell you….. Khamileon is infected with the HIV virus.
Obariba,s hands were on her head as she lets out an ear piecing scream, …now crying out loud like a little baby she knelt in front of Khami holding his face in her hands looking him straight in the eyes

OBARIBA: Baby tell me this is not true!..... Tell me baby I will believe you! (As Khami stares into the eyes of the love of his life… hot tears roles down his cheek) Peculeir who couldn’t stand this burst into tears again…. Mr Vince led his wife into their bedroom as he spoke to the Doctor and Obariba

MR VINCE: Doctor, please keep an eye on them while I try to calm my wife. Obariba, I am very sorry about my wife’s behavior

Pete and Obude just finished a class and were relaxing under a tree when Medden walks in and joined them

OBUDE: Medden! How come I didn’t see you in class today?

MEDDEN: Please forget class! My problem is bigger than that now!

PETE: Medden I know we love partying and all that, but Jokes apart! We shouldn’t forget why we are here.

OBUDE: Tell him, because that’s all he seems interested in.

MEDDEN: Obude just hold it right there! If not for you, my problem might have been solved by now. (Obude and Pete looked at him with surprise!)

PETE: Which problem and how is he responsible for it?

MEDDEN: Was he not the one that told me to visit the Doctor instead of going traditional? (Pete and Obude looked at each other and it finally dawn on them…. as if on cue they burst out laughing very loud) You guys can laugh all you want, but I want you to know that this is not a laughing matter and we all must join hands in finding a Solution

OBUDE: (Teasing) Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise, at least you can now concentrate on your studies (He quickly changed his tone when he saw the look on Medden’s eyes.) Okay let’s go and find Okestra because four heads are better than three

MEDDEN: Okestra! The guy that was fighting me because of a woman.. Leave him for now! But I just want you all to know that this thing will affect every single guy I know if I don’t find a cure

PETE: What do you mean by that?

MEDDEN: You guys are helping me so you don’t have to worry about anything because you are not among, but anybody that refuses to help me; I will put his business out in the open. If I loose Blackbutterfly no guy wey I know go get Chick for this CAMPUS Na me talk am! both those wey get multiple girlfriends, those wey dey sleep with prostitute…. 4SATAT was returning from the gate where she had bought some Suya, she actually didn’t pay for it some guys paid for her. Getting close to Green House she saw LuvMachine and called out to him, he saw her too late so there was so chance of escape. She walked up to him.

4SATAT: Ehen! Na when be the last time wey you come look for me? See this thing wey I dey give you free so, other guys dey beg and die for am…. Abi no be your mates buy me Suya so?

LUVMACHINE: I just say make I finish my assignment before I go come meet you.

4SATAT: Oya make we stroll go that dark area and eat Suya, unless you like to ride me first before we eat (He stiffens and then relaxed….. he actually enjoys having sex with her.... just that 4Satat is too strong and over powering for him)


MR VINCE’S RESIDENCE
Doctor NTB and the Lawyer AUST NNE have been such superb friends to Olaafol and her family. They have been visiting and staying in touch especially the Doctor. It looks like she is the only one with the expertise to calm the family and make sense out of this. Mr VINCE did everything in his power to send Peculier back to school, because it makes no sense keeping her at home though he agreed to keep her informed and she could come home as often as she wants. Khamileon is mostly locked up in his room and doesn’t say much… though he has started speaking with his father. Olaafol has cried till tears no longer come out of her eyes… She has always been a strong woman but now she feels helpless. Today the Doctor is visiting; she is with Khami in his room

DR NTB: I presume you have read all the information on HIV that I gave you. So you know there is no cure, but there are drugs for it. Some people eventually develop Aids while others don’t; at least that is what we know for now… Medical science does not have all the answers as to why one person develops Aids a day, week, month or year after been infected with the virus while others can live on the drugs for so many years. Researches are been carried out everyday to know more and someday develop a drug that can finally cure this. Are you following me? (He nods his head) Do you have any question (He shakes his head to indicate No)……Have you been in touch with Obariba?

KHAMILEON: Yes! … She wants to come over, but she is afraid of Mum!

DR NTB: Don’t worry about that. Your Mum is actually sorry and embarrassed at her behavior towards her, so she can come. …But has she been tested?

DR NTB: When he has a hospital here? What nonsense! ….. So others can use and patronize his hospital, but it is not good enough for his daughter.. Hmmmm!!! This is really wired …definitely something to really think about… The way they run that hospital just doesn’t add up

KHAMILEON: He says he is going to arrest my entire family and I, and lock us up forever because I have infected his daughter with Aids!

DR NTB: Illiteracy is a disease! With all his money he doesn’t even know the difference between HIV and AIDS……He will lock up your family, and where does he think we are, a jungle where there is no law?? …. Without any test, he has already concluded that his daughter is infected….. I wonder what I am doing working in his hospital, I really have to leave that place…….And by the way how is he sure that his daughter didn’t infect you??

KHAMI: SHE DIDN’T! (This took her by surprise)

DR NTB: (Slowly) Khami you seems so certain….. Is there any other girl in your life?

OTUNBA SOLA’S RECIDENCE

A week has passed since the incident, Obariba and her Mum has cried till they became sick…. They are now coming to terms with the reality of this, but for Otunba it is just the beginning

OTUNBA SOLA: Wo! When I finish with that Lizard of a boy and his family eh! Kirikiri would be like the Queen of England’s palace to them! I have not even given him my daughter, and now he is planning to kill her. Ha! … My only daughter!...... Iro ni!..Mo ni Iro ni!

The girls are lying on their bed and 4Satat decides to tell them what’s been bothering her, but before she begins, she first gave Bolanle a warning

4SATAT: Ok I know this is Campus, but I also know about life outside school. I know how many single girls are out there. They have completed school, found good jobs but are still single, and before you know it girls are getting old and no sign of a husband

4SATAT: I have been giving this a serious thought, Campus is where we meet all sorts of guys, interact with them, get to really know them.. I mean it’s like we are all living in this huge auditorium filled with boys and girls

4SATAT: How come lots of the single girls outside today didn’t hook up in school? How come they are now dating people far worst than the ones they ignored on Campus? How come they are now good for people’s girlfriend, but not good enough for wives?? (There was complete silence…looks like the girls are thinking hard about this)

BB: The problem is that most girls on Campus are very selective; they feel they have so much time to make better choices later in life!

4SATAT: But in our mother’s days, girls get married at 18, 19 or 20 and most of those marriages survive

BB: But times have changed, we are no longer in that era

4SATAT: Well we better get back to that Era because the amount of single ladies today is alarming. The sad part is, we would be lucky to get the type of guys we look down on here in the outside world. Today some girls would settle for anything just to have a man to call a husband… Again, why didn’t most girls hook up in school and work hard on the relationship?? From the little I know, the guys seems to be the one who wants that here on Campus (Bolanle finally spoke)

BOLANLE: So have you got any serious guy?.... I mean what have you done so far since realizing all this?

4SATAT: Come I first warn you o!.... This one no be time to find trouble, if u no get anything better to talk just shut up!

BOLANLE: You might be surprised to hear that some of the things you said actually made sense to me (4Satat was indeed surprised to hear this, she smiles)

BB: I have got my Medden and I am going to work hard to see that we get married someday. The devil you know is a lot better, because I don’t know what’s out there and definitely don’t want to get to 40 to find out.

4SATAT: Since Abike has stolen my Pa J, I would have really loved to have KHAMILEON but that Prostitute Obariba refuse to get her claws off him

BOLANLE: There you go again! We are trying to have a nice conversation and you start with your names calling. Why can’t we have a conversation without you calling people names?

Moviewizard is on hand doing all the errands helping his father in whatever way he can to save his very sick sister THRESSA. Eyes wide open watching his father as he made little marks on her body and robs her with a dark ointment. His father asked him to go bring some leafs from the nearby bush, he runs with speed, cuts some lemon grass…climbs a mango tree and plucks some leafs….. Back home, he puts them in a big pot together with Dongoyaro leafs, lime and other things his father gave him. He added water to the pot and brings to a huge fire he made outside.. He hopes his sister would get better after fermenting and drinking the Agbo


MR VINCE’S RESIDENCE
Olaafol has apologized to Obariba because no matter what, she has always been a good girl, she is like a second daughter to her.. Just that the sad news of her only son threw her off balance. Obariba is with Khamileon in his room having a serious discussion

OBARIBA: I don’t know my fate and my father is insisting that I must travel to London for the test. Still I have to ask you this question…. at least once! I will believe what ever you tell me because you have never lied to me before (looking straight into his eyes she asked) KHAMILEON, Did you cheat on me?? Have you been seeing another girl?

Coming from Obariba this was very difficult for him… he was silent for what seems like a year. Head bow staring at his pillow, finally he raised his head up eyes filled with hot tears he spoke

KHAMILEON: The tears you see is the pain I feel hearing these words from your mouth. I would even believe this thing is a Mystery than to entertain the thought that you would cheat on me, or that you might have infected me… (Tears dropping down his cheek)The love I have for you is greater than life itself…such love is not of this world, it is ordained from above… I have never been with any other girl nor has the thought even crossed my mind since I met you. She held him tight sobbing uncontrollably

KHAMILEON: But it is reality so I better brace myself for it (She starts sobbing and hitting him gentle as she mutters on

CAMPUS, MEDDENS ROOM

The four guys are all gathered in Meddens room to discuss how to solve his problem

MEDDEN: I hope you guys are helping because you want to, and not because of my threat because it’s not for you, but for anybody who can, but refuse to help me.

OKESTRA: I never see anybody like you before sha, I swear! …Anyway I want to help and get it over with so you can leave Angeleyes and me alone in peace

OBUDE: When dem tell you make you no dey sleep around you no gree hear, so tay you don even dey sleep with prostitutes

MEDDEN: O so! You think I am the only person visiting prostitute on this Campus shey?

PETE: Who else do you know?

MEDDEN: That’s not important, unless situation push me to start calling names, una all go surprise

PETE: He traveled out of the country and would be back pretty soon

OTUNBA SOLA’S RESIDENCE
There is a big commotion at the Otunba’s residence. Obariba refuses to travel to London insisting that Khamileon has not infected her. Her father on the other hand is at his breaking points, the mother Enrinma though wants her to think about her father’s suggestion, she still supports her

OTUNBA SOLA: Wo! If not for your mother, that your Lizard would be in Kirikiri

OBARIBA: You dare not raise your hands against him father!

OTUNBA SOLA: Obariba is it me you are talking to in that tone? (She didn’t reply) Is it a crime to protect my only daughter?

OBARIBA: Father, Khamileon is my life and I too will protect him!

OTUNBA SOLA: Well he is about to die with his Aids and I won’t allow you die with him

ENRINMA: (Cuts in) Enough Otunba!... what type of stupid talk is that?

OTUNBA SOLA: Ha! So you are supporting her? Even when it’s now obvious that the boy is trying to kill my daughter!

ENRINMA: And you think your manner of approach is the solution to this huge problem?

OTUNBA SOLA: Yes ke! Send my daughter to London to test and start receiving treatments while we leave the wicked boy to die here in Nigeria.

OBARIBA: Mother I would not stand here and listen to his rubbish, meet me in my room if you care about me at all (She stormed out of the living room with the mother running after her… not before giving Otunba a nasty look… All this looks like a very bad dream to Otunba and he sets to move into action, he has been acting too kind… with his money he can get things done)


DOCTOR NTB, S OFFICE

Dr NTB has spoken to Khami several times to find the truth behind his infection. She was told that he has always used protection with Obariba, except once when the condom break and he had quickly changed it… but that single act pose a threat and is enough to infect any of them. Khami insist that he had only been with Obariba and he trusted her with his life that she would never cheat on him. So what is the mystery??...... Though Khami seems like a very decent young man, but as a doctor she has to put emotions aside and dig deeper. She has quizzed both Olaafol and her husband Vince and it’s still the same positive result about Khami he is a good child and doesn’t lie ….. Deep in thought in her office, she remembers various little incidents in the Hospital coupled with her disgust for the owner Otunba Sola who even have the guts to owe staffs despite his money. She wrote her resignation letter. She has been a fool for staying this long in this hospital; with her qualification she would easily land a new job. Before submitting her letter, she decided to investigate some things that have been bothering her… She questioned some junior staffs, their answers troubled her even more and she carried out some test…. The result terrified her


ONDO TOWN
Medden and friends were extra lucky to catch Pa J because five days after he returned from abroad he is back on the road to London with his wife Abike. He introduced Medden to his father and asked him to help. His father took Medden to the Young Chief Priest ZENKE….. He did his incantation and was horrified at what was revealed to him. Medden together with a girl from the village has desecrated the land. They have had sex on the burial sport of the greatest Chief priest the land has ever produced. Medden mind flashed back to Pa J’s wedding when he had sex with the village girl THRESSA in the Bush. Her younger brother MovieWizard had caught them in the act and he had given him money to shut his mouth. Medden was lucky that the Chief Priest is young and seems to know what he is doing….if he was an old chief priest, he would have demanded human sacrifice, but instead the Young Chief Priest Zenke demanded cows, goats, chickens and other things that could be bought. He told Medden that if the sacrifice is not done within a certain period, both Medden and the girl would die.. This alarmed him because either way he is as good as dead where on earth he would get the 2million naira to buy all the items or give them money to buy. This single act of the young priest solved the mystery behind THRESSA’S illiness. Meddeen had met her father; instead of being annoyed with him he was only concerned with raising the money to save his daughters life. He told Medden that he could raise 100,000naira by selling all his farms and cocoa plantations

OTUNBA SOLA’S RESIDENCE
Otunba sat in his living room thinking about how easy it has been to make Obariba see reasons with him…. Any moment from now Obariba would walk in and meet Emerald face to face. He has sent people into the Campus to look for any of Khamileon’s girlfriend so he can convince Obariba that Khami is bad, he puts out a 1million naira reward for any girl who can prove that she has slept with Khami. On Campus, Medden couldn’t believe his luck when he got wind of this; he sprang into action….. He bargained that he can even produced prostitutes that he has seen sleeping with Khami and he raised the price to 3million naira when he found out how bad Otunba needed this info. He puts aside his personal feelings for Khami because his own life is at stake. He was told by Otunba’s men that he would be dealt with viciously if he tricked them….getting some advance payment he had gone to EMERALD and paid her 400,000naira cash…… Obariba walked in and Otunba wakes from his day dreaming. Emerald narrated how she met Khamileon on the street across from where they sell food.. How he had taken her to a hotel, and how he became her customer….. She described in details how they meet at least once every week for sex, and they always stay till day break… That Khamileon is never tired, even when he looks sick and she asked him to propone it but he wouldn’t hear of it….. The money given to EMERALD is like a million dollars to her, so she made sure she told her story extra well and convincing….. Obariba was speechless and crying so hard, because the girl did not only describe her Khamileon, but also produce his picture and demonstrates his mannerism. Emerald even mentioned some of Khami;s friends like Medden who has seen them together in the hotel, and she offered to bring some other prostitutes who knew Khami. This was too much for Obariba, she ran to her room and starts packing her clothes…. This is a signal for Otunba who was on the phone at once booking a one way first class ticket to London. Medden has rushed off with the 1million naira he made to Ondo town and given it to the Young Chief Priest Zenke, who didn’t show any sign of excitement, he only advised Medden to make sure he brings the balance 1million before the date he gave him, if not he will die

MR VINCE’S RESIDENCE

Like before Dr NTB has called Mr. Vince to assemble his family because she has some shocking news to tell them. Peculier is home again, together with her Mum Olaafol, father Vince, and brother Khamileon they sat at the table waiting. She opened the door soon as the doctor rang the bell. Wasting no time…She informed them that she has resigned from the hospital, but that was not her reason for coming. She told them of her little suspicion in the hospital coupled with the tight fist of Otunba… she started questioning some staffs because of the poor level of hygiene in some departments. She did some test on a sachet of blood she got took from their blood bank and found out it was infected with Hiv Virus… This was the same place they took blood for Khami’s transfusion… she went on to interview the staffs that were on duty that same they, they confirmed that they don’t test every blood donor. By this time Olaafol, Vince and Khami’s head were spinning….. Anger was rising in Mr Vince and Olaafol could squeeze the life out of Otunba Sola if he was standing in her presence right now. How could people be so wicked, Greedy and careless!...... DR NTB who already has a plan told them straight

DR NTB: I know this wont repair or fix the harm already done, but the only way to send a strong message to greedy and wicked people like Otunba Sola who is only concerned with making more money from the hospital rather than saving lives, is to sue him and take away everything he has got! I say we sue him for one billion naira! He has to take full responsibility for what has happened
