People should not just go into marriage expecting the spouse to make wonders by providing that happiness that they could not find on their own. It will never work. You build happiness with your spouse together and not expect your spouse to make it happen for you both. You need to listen to Dr. Otabil's cd about marriage 101 and maybe you will understand better where I am coming from.

He had a website at http://centralgospel.com/motabil/redirect.html

and over there, there is a list of his cd's but i think the website is under reconstruction and so when it is back up you can order it from there. My girlfriend has seven cassettes of his marriage 101 and it was very very good. I listened to it a while back and cannot remember the details. but you know what, I will get it from her tonight and play it and come and post what he said about the basic fundamentals of marriage in his first cassette. If you have someone going home, you can also have them get it for you. Dr. Mensa Otabil is a respected Christian Rev and although I am a Muslim, I still like to listen to him as he is very good.

I understand and agree with you, nevertheless the expectation of my spouse making me happy should be there. One should marry someone who'll make him or her happy.
I have listen to the tapes, and I do agree with him almost fully ( 98%), but there are few things which are practical that I think he could have elaborate further on them.

Anyway, how is my sweet sis doing ?

Of course we expect our future partners to bring us "more" happiness as by the time we meet them we already have experienced happiness ourselves. With the two combined, it will strengthen the marriage. If we expect it all from this one person, after a while he will be exhausted and the marriage will collapse. You cannot make someone’s happiness your own Ricardo. You should know it yourself and then share it with the other. Marriage is about sharing and not expecting a spouse to do all the giving.

Your sweet sis is doing great as usual. How about your handsome self ma dear?

    I wouldn't know, I married for different reason(s).

Most people go into a marriage thinking they can change their partner. People don't change. If circumstances change, people will change, but under the same circumstance a person will still act the same.
