Govt okays N80 per litre for petrol

LAGOS — THERE are indications that government may have given the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) the go-ahead to increase its ex-depot price of petroleum products which will lead to petrol being retailed at an unprecedented pump price of N80 per litre this week. http://www.vanguardngr.com/articles/...122082005.html

Interesting! 249% increase in petrol prices is a killer..thank God for apiam ways and legs that can walk! Naija and inflation sef!

But Vince, the global fuel hike was not 249%..especially a country that claims to be have a lot of that resource!

Just waiting for the day when there will be no more oil on this planet...when cars and buses and so on and so forth will run on water and so on and so forth but not oil. Uh -oh, the oil fanatics will KILL EVERYONE to keep the oil floating.

Nigeria has no oil refinery,atleast not one that is fully operational,that i know of.So,although,we do have crude oil,we have to import refined fuel just like everybody else.
The 249% hike is too much,i'll have to admit.
