Lets call a spade a spade !!! That is robbery ...The State of Bayelsa's treasury was looted by its own governor !!! Im sure all the roads are bad ,no schools etc ...Its time for them to start trying all these people in office..they need to organise a military tribunal to handle fraud and award necessary punishments !!!

So, you won't link me...ehn? On a more serious note, I feel you on your probity. Given such looted funds, I would empty my offshore accounts, have them closed, would turn around to distribute the fund to all currently serving youth corpers.

HA HA HA...........this is actually very funny. i hope they find and shake all those looters down one by one. when they said debt relief and people (i included) where saying how wonderful and great this was and how it was going to turn the country, many others did not understand. see, debt relief from G8 came with the clause that all these looting politicians be exposed and nipped. obasanjo voiced this himself, saying that the G8 put together a list of corrupt officials and demanded their heads! no one listened then. now heads are beginning to roll cuz the G8 meant business!!! of course he got arrested in london........................he fell right into the trap and of course obasanjo is keeping his hands folded because he knew about this ish long before the actual arrest. his hands are literally tied. anytime one of those corrupt officials step into or conduct business in one of the G8 countries, chances are he is going to be highly investigated or jailed.................let the fun begin!!!

nemesis ke? it's called correct governmental action, policy against corruption. i notice nigerians always want to look to, blame, or credit some intangible ideology for good things in the government but this is what is called a government arm actually doing its job! i know most nigerians can't recognize it anymore..........

The EFCC's wish for the governor's immediate trial will, however, depend on the strength of the evidence the Metropolitan Police may have against him.
A source close to Sunday Vanguard disclosed this at the weekend just as President Olusegun Obasanjo said the fact that Alamieyeseigha was arrested on money laundering allegations, in spite of his position, was an indication that his administration's anti-corruption measures were working. More

"The retired judge was however quick to add that the cause of the massive corruption going on in the public life was as a result of the controversial immunity clause in the 1999 Constitution, shielding political office holders in the country from criminal prosecution.
Section 308 of the 1999 Constitution protects 74 political office holders including the president, his vice, the 36 state governors and their deputies from both civil and criminal prosecution."

Time to remove this immunity thing from the constitution?Or atleast modify it in such a way that these thieves won't get away with all these thieving crimes. This immunity clause is crazy!
