things that are going on here in Nigeria continues to prove, prophets of doom right. berely 6 years into democracy, the rate of corruption continues to soar. only 3 days ago it was found out that obasanjo has a house in america worth over 800,000 dollars, in it lives his jobless son who is born to larvish. today the headlines says that bayelsa state governor has been arrested in London by the by men from scotland yard for money laundering, and an amount over 1million dollars were found in his possesion. He will not be the first governor to be caught by the british police. months back , the platue state govrnor was arrested in london with close to a million dollars.
this are the very few casses we know of, government officials continue to milk the country dry. some poeple say nigeria can never get beter events like these make me agree with them.

That is the reason why democrasy as practised in the west is never good for africa. Africa must find out what system is best for it. Obasanjo and his officials have failed nigerians. We need to pray for an uncorruptible leader like Col. Muammar Gadhafi of Libya.

Anxiety reigned in Yenagoa, the sleepy state capital of Bayelsa State following the arrest Thursday in London of the state governor Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha by the Metropolitan Police over allegations of money laundering. People gather in clusters to discuss the ordeal while top government officials were not willing to make public statements on the matter.
However, residents were observed going about their normal businesses with offices, markets and shops opened. Many workers were seen discussing in hush tones the fate of the governor when THISDAY visited the state Secretariat Complex, Yenagoa.

All this does not surprise anyone.The whole world knows that nigeria does not have any iota of leadership material.This one proves it once again to all.A big shame and humiliation for the nation as a whole.And to think that we want to represent africa as a permanent member of the security council in the UN!!Humph!

I feel like overthrowing the government. Would lump into Space-Craft all the politicians since "aye wetie' and have them send to planet Mars!

What we need is another round of people like the Late Major-General Tunde Idiagbon former chief of staff, supreme headquarters. Only God go helepu dat kontri, cos kontri no helepu hinsef!

When i heard that that man died i cried inside me for my country.I doubt whether we will ever have such a selfless and disciplined leader like that ever again.He did overdo certain things in his short reign,but his good intentions were never in doubt then.

Yep, he my have overdone some things, but our people won't do what's right until you put a gun to their heads, so you can't really blame him!
I'll always respect his stance on tackling Naijas issues.
