I can imagine also, but like Kay said, she must be really ignorant, than again it's the society in which she finds herself, else I'd have asked her to divorce the guy, carry the children her hands can hold and move on with her life, before she dies trying to give birth to a boy.

DO you really believe that?? We are in the 21st century you know, and a female can also carry the family's name if she wants....look at Oprah, imagine if we had a Nigerian Oprah.

Agreed, Vince, we're merely saying that they're putting pressure on the wrong person, there's not a doggone thing the woman can do about it, it's all on the man!!! That's the reason for education.

Obviously, some (if not many) Nigerian couples still need a physiological teaching on how to concieve a prefered gender.

What a shame aye? Joke is, this madness is not limited to Nigeria, altho' I concede the pressure would be greater there. A friend of mine who is preggers told me the other day, that obs. won't tell her the sex of her unborn child because "ethnic minorities" have resorted to aborting girl babies. Its all so sad.
