After finding a missing college student's personal belongings near her off-campus apartment, police in Downstate Normal said Wednesday that they now are treating her disappearance as a criminal investigation.

The announcement raised new questions but no new answers about Olamide Adeyooye, 21, of west suburban Berkeley, a senior science major at Illinois State University in Normal. She has not had contact with friends or family members since a phone conversation with her boyfriend the night of Oct. 13.

My heart goes out to her family because it is a sad thing to look for a Missing child cos you actually don't know where she is, what is happening to her and always pray that the worst doesn't happen. God will bring her home safely.

Olamide Adeyooye, (a senior at Illinois State University) has been missing for a week today, her car is missing as well. Here is this mornings round up of articles about her case. Very few new details have emerged.

A candlelight vigil for Adeyooye will be at 8:30 tonight in the ISU Quad. The vigil has been rescheduled from last night.

I thought it will only be humane to take this Missing Olamide Adeyooye issue a step further with this mail I received today. Yall can all do this to help put out a broad APB on her, because she's a Nigerian or not of white skin shouldn't make her potential abduction irrelevant. Just follow the instruction below.

21 year old Olamide Adeyooye, a senior, was last seen Thursday
night at a video store in Normal. Her former roommates' mother,
Donna Petrey, says this does not appear to be the case of a girl
running away.
She says friends got police to break into her locked apartment
and found one of the videos she rented in the television, which
was left on.
They found her much-used cell phone in her apartment, but her
purse and car were gone.
There were no signs of a struggle.
The only thing that appeared to be missing was Adeyooye
comforter.

Police in Normal will only say that a missing persons report was
filed Saturday.

Adeyooye is of Nigerian descent and has shoulder length black
hair and dark eyes. She is 110 pounds and about 5'3" tall. She
drives a dark green 1996 Toyota Corolla with license plate LBG
927.

Normal Police say, at this time, foul play is not suspected. If
you have any information, call Detective Sergeant Scott Johnson

The picture of a missing Illinois State University student is being plastered across the twin cities today.

21-year old Olamide Adeyooye hasn't been seen since Thursday night when she went to Family Video in Normal. While police say foul play is not suspected in her disappearance, friends of the Illinois State University senior are frantic.

“We just really want to get her home safely because I can't get imagine life without her,” said best friend Ashley Petrey as she sobbed.

Petrey has taken the search for Olamide into her own hands by starting a phone tree and email chains.

“I was going to drive myself crazy if I sat around and thought about it. So I got on the internet, and we made flyers,” said Petrey.

Her boyfriend of 3 years, Andy Wildrick was the last person to talk to Olamide just after 9 p.m. on Thursday.

“I don't know why she would not have contacted anyone in three days. She hasn't dialed anyone else. It makes me just sick to my stomach,” said Wildrick.

Wildrick, who plays in a band, has cancelled his tour and drove 12 hours from Philadelphia in hopes of finding his girlfriend.

“I don't know exactly what I can do here, but it makes a lot more sense for me to be here,” said Wildrick.

And with no sign of Olamide, friends can't help but fear the worst.

“On Thursday when I stopped over to drop off a CD and say ‘hi’ she left the door unlocked and she was in the shower,” said Petrey.
