ok seriously, what do people think here about those that espouse tribal rights to presidency as in "igbo deserve this, yoruba deserve that, niger-delta deserve this" Should the presidency be adjudged along tribal lines or by who's the best candidate for the job regardless of whether they come from under a rock? what are some of the thoughts on this?

I'm not a Nigerian but I've heard about the people from "south south" saying the next president should come from their area. I've been watching some programmes on BENTV and their comments should worry Nigerians a lot. I heard one of their members saying they'll form their own republic if they're not given the presidency. I think the best candidate should be given the job. Tribe should have nothing to do with who wins the election.
