He's a legend in Freetown. Most Sierra Leoneans (including me) saw him as the guy who saved Freetown. The busiest street in Freetown was renamed the "Sani Abacha street".

The guy even visited Freetown. A very large crowd went to the National Stadium to see him and welcome our president (Kabbah) back.
Abacha sent Nigerin soldiers to fight and save thousands of people in Freetown. I was there during the war and who knows what might have happened to me if not for the fact that he was brave enough to send soldiers when no other leader was willing to do so? Abeg the guy is a legend.

He became the saviour or my country when he stood by us in our time of need. It was as if God used him to save many lives. Freetown was almost at a stand still when the news of his death was announced. However, he doesn't fulfil all the criterias to become president of my country.
