Khami, you're mixing up Muslim and Christian concepts on the characteristics and nature of God. This is an Islamic event, and they definitely have contradictory beliefs/solutions/reasoning to certain things you uphold. I hope this whole disagreement wouldn’t turn into another religious caricature.

A day before this Al- Jamarat journey, I heard on the news that lots of people usually died at the Al- Jamarat. But I thought it will not happen this year because the Saudi government would have put things in place to avoid the unnecessary deaths. But it’s just too unfortunate that the old cliché still repeats itself.

For crying out loud! These poor 345 souls just want to purge themselves of there sins and now end up sinning no more.
May there soul rest in peace, and May the good Lord come and grant there loved ones the courage to move on.

Firstly, there are no senseless laws in the Quran. If you don't trust your Bible enough to follow all the laws, then that's your problem.

Secondly, I'm not in a position to question God or his Holy Quran. No one was forced to go on the pilgrimage. People did so off their own accord.

Finally, God does as he pleases and all we as humans can do is to obey him.

Neither did I say there are senseless laws in the Quran.... I use the Bible as an example to show that MEN makes faults and not GOD... If somebody shows me in any scripture that God says I should jump off a cliff, I will refuse and say God didn't say that, but man added that (for whatever reason) If an Angel appears and tells me God says I should jump from a cliff and worship him, I will tell that Angel that he is 419.... Definitely the devil in disguise and rebuke him in the name of Christ..... At the end we all have to face God and give account. There are certain things he gave us Simply knowledge to understand that we don't need an expert to lecture us on ........ Yes I am a Creation/Child of God and so I would question anything that looks contradictory to what my Father/Creator would say/command. God is the only one PERFECT.. every other person/preacher/pastor/prophet has his limitations and makes mistakes and mis-represent God sometimes... That is why we are Human! Humans are not super beings whether they be prophets/pastors... hey are still humans prone to mistakes and sin. to think otherwise is comparing them to God which is total foolishess in my book. Even Moses one of the greatest prophets that ever lived, made mistake that cost him dearly (He never entered the promised land after he worked so hard for it)) So yes I would question anything that doesn't sound right and not follow anything blindly because Moses says so!..... Thats not serving God, it is called Stupidity! Understand the difference, Preachers/Pastors/Prophets/Angles all have their limitations because they are not the same as GOD!... GOD & GOD alone is PERFECT

PS: There are only two LAWS required by GOD.....

1. LOVE GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, ALL YOUR SOUL AND ALL YOUR MIND

2.LOVE YOUR FELLOW HUMAN AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF.

Any other law aprt from these is Taiwan! (419)

If in your religion you are not allowed to question God, I can understand. In mine, I am very much allowed to question him in anything that am not clear about or anything that doesnt make sense to me. And he would provide the answer to me... We are encouraged to seek a personal relationship with God and not focus on what one Pastor say. Stay fine bro! Digest what I said and holla back.... Its always love from this end. I just scanned through the replies here, and aI see peeps are getting angry over words being used.

In the religious forum of this website, there are more threads opened on Christianity, more things negative and absurd and lots of 'NASTY' things has been said about Christianity.

I really dont wonder about Osama Bin Laden and what other muslims claim is his warped interpretation of the Koran. Cos, same thing is happening on this thread. Peeps getting angry over beliefs and stuff liek that. Where then is the religious tolerance? Why must I be scared of saying things or asking questiosn so as not to step on toes? SOme fo you are in school, dont you have professors that are proclaimed atheist saying nasty things about your religions? Did you drop out of school?

* Why has itr been OK for us to accuse pastors of doing RITUALS and claiming people are being HEALED MIRACULOUSLY?

* WHy has been OK to say Rev fathers and Sisters have sex under the white robes?

* Why has it been OK to accuse Christians of doing RITUALS (burning candles etc to pray)

* There are a whole lot of WHY questions here, but I wont even bother to ask them. Because words like IGNORANCE would or may be used against me!

Honestly, we all can claim to be friends here and so-called educated and enlightened and tolerant, but its just wasted if we all cannot ask each other deep questiosn of what we believe in without any fear of upsetting the next person. Because 9 out of 10 times, we were all born into the religion we presently practise. And only a confused or almost-to-be-converted person would say anything negative about their religion!

But dang!!! Let's be friendly and educated enough for me to ask any muslim here any question about any misconception or fable/fallacy I heard without having derogatory adjectives assigned to me!! And for crying out loud, I AM EVER WILLING TO ANSWER ANY 'IGNORANT OR STUPID' question about CHristianity! The one I cant answer, I ask people that know more than me and then answer you!!!
