CAN SOMEONE AGAIN PLEASE TELL ME WHY THEY STONE THE THING AGAIN? Will this take them to 'heaven'? Hmm... I didnt know devil is on one spot, cos me, would sure love to 'stone' him with a Bazooka or rather a Mini nuclear bomb!

Dozens of people were reported killed in a stampede during a symbolic stoning ritual at the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. Government officials said the number of people killed was unknown, but news agencies put the toll in the dozens -- and perhaps higher than 50. Reuters said its journalists counted at least 50 bodies lined up on the ground and covered in white shrouds. Some were being placed on trucks by medics.

In an event that is so overcrowded,tragic mishaps like this will always occur.There is no need to read a "mysterious" meaning into it.
Mishaps like this happen yearly during the hajj.It did,last year too,and it probably will in future hajjs,unfortunately.The crowd is just too much.

Hmmmm. I sense 'Christians' are looking for a way to 'ridicule' the moslem faith.....

....but in a nice, 'civilised' way.

ur own opinion...
we are talking about the Deaths of Innocent people here and how it could be stopped, cause everybody knows its always gon conitue (the deaths)

GBAM! cause there is absolutely nothing myesterious about the Deaths cause it's caused by over-crowding.... My own is when are they gon start doing something about this deaths?? Is it possible to stop the Ritual altogether?? Cause every Moslem pilgrim wants to stone the kabbah and this usualy results to deaths of innocent people... I think something must be done to save these lives

thanks vince sha...one thing I know for sure is that I will prefer to die during the pilgrimage in Saudi then any where else in this wide world! If one only knew of the blessings one gets during the pilgrimage and what a wonderful experience it is....nuff said, nuff respect!!!

Stone the kabbah? Please get your facts straight ojare....The Saudi Govt each year tries to do something about it for your information. Its a difficult situation but they will resolve it soon. And another thing, people choose to go dispite the crowd and the deaths as they believe in their faith. Lets respect people's faith please.

Looked like you read my post upside down.There was nothing like ridiculing any religion there.Just stating pure,simple fact.

So you saying, people intentionally go there despite them knowing thing might go wrong and get trampled to death because its a priviledge to die stoning the devil?

I mean if you can stone the devil then you must be able to see him bleed then or what happen to devil after thousands of stones?

It does happen every yr so why are we even suprised about it? (no offence)
During my stay in naija a whole Virgin Nigeria Plane was sent back to Nigeria cos they did not give the landing permission. I guess the knew already that the event will be too crowded and started to let planes land in Saudi

just wondering..... is that a sort of human sacrifice to the 'deity' yearly then? Like blood must be shed on the black altar there? hmmm...

Dont mind me peeps. Just kidding.
Anyway, cant they construct other Kabbah(right?) at other places? SO as to reduce the crowd converging in one place? Men, population of the world is exploding, they should make room for the increase as well. This is not good at all!!

People going to exercise their faith in good mind and dying while doing it? This is simply a 'preventive death' abeg!! And I hope other people wont think its 'heaven-bound' to die there. Because, I dont know how it works with Islam, but aint people supposed to be pure and holy or something like that to go to Muslim heaven too? Pls correct me. Can a murderer or an adulterer just go there die and think he is a matyr?
