Well as the article has stated; he is the former civilian governor of old Kano State, but beyond that he is one of the few Northern big wigs in which are cooperative with their southern pares. Recently he attended an Igbo Political convention of some sort helled in Dallas, TX.. this happened at about the same time that gossip of OBJ's 3rd term anticipations and fervent demands by the southern and Northern leaders that the presidency be acquired by their regions began going haywire.

So for Rimi, a well established Northern leader, to be showing plesantries with Southerners at this critical pre election time... he has basically signed his death wish. For a minute now he's been receiving death threats, and true to form... when an assassin cant get to you, they'll attempt to draw you in by knocking off those in whom are most close to you..

I wouldn't be surprised if Rimi has also been very cooperative with the EFCC... in blowing the whistle on a lot of folks.. I'd expect several more of these types of assassinations to go on... as the pressure of EFCC is rapidly forcing the code of silence on illicit affairs... helled between the big wigs of politics to crack like shallow ice.

My goodness, dis is such a callous act.
