This is the same Man that almost tore Nigeria apart with his SHARIA LAW... while a lot of Nigerians acuse Obasanjo for keeping quiet and being a coward... But Obasanjo was wise, knowing that if he intervane, it would turn to a religious crises where a Christian President is dictating to a Moslem governor.... Look at the man today!... Zamfara PDP chairman accuses Yerima of recklessness

CHAIRMAN of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State, Alhaji Samaila Garkuwa, has accused Governor Ahmed Sani Yerima of recklessness and turning government's business into a huge joke, forgetting the tenets of the Sharia system.

In a statement by the chairman made available to reporters in Abuja on Wednesday, Garkuwa alleged that the governor obtained a domestic loan of N2 billion in addition to spending N1 million and donating 63 cars to musicians from Niger Republic

who came to play at the inauguration of the women's wing of his 2007 presidential campaign organisation on January 14, 2006.

He said that Sharia forbade such public frolicking, as the law banned such immoral activities, including drumming and singing, adding that several Ulamas had condemned this wanton depravity, with one saying that "what is happening in the state now is an insult to both Islam and Moslems the world over".

"This is worrisome because Governor Ahmed Sani has always claimed that the introduction and implementation of Sharia, which is not selective, has been his greatest achievement within the last seven years. It will take a lot to undo this bad example that Yerima and his family has set yet again", the statement said.

The chairman further alleged that during the inauguration, the governor's wife, wives and children of state commissioners, legislators, permanent secretaries, special advisers, local council chairmen and tradition rulers present, lost all decorum and danced until they forgot to say their Zuhr prayer on time.

"And the First Lady, Dr. Karima, joined in the public in merry-making to the extent that she and others were spraying the musicians with top denominations of the naira", the statement went on.

Garkuwa said that in obedience to the Sharia tenets, the party was demanding that those who participated in that merriment be publicly reprimanded, while the governor should account for the N2 billion he obtained for the state because just after he got that loan, he intensified his 2007 presidential campaign.

"Lastly, Governor Sani should stop making Zamfara State a laughing stock. It is indecent for at least 63 cars to be given out to musicians at a single party", the statement said.

oh pls khami wats all this sharia crap??drop the issue and dont turn it into somewat losing sleep over,u have opened too many threads on this abeg,its now boring and looks like a personal attack on muslims,leave them to keep mocking God,GOD will fight his battle ok?

Bia na wetin concern The Rubbish wey Zamfara state governor do with real Islam??.... And what part of my post and the writing no dey correct or look like an attack on Islam?? ... My dear that man almost tear Naija apart and lots of people die through that...so now wey im true colour dey show make I keep quiet?? ...What about the lives wey we lost through im rubbish??.... My dear na Moslem leaders dey call am to correction and not me. And to correct you, I never open many thread about Islam so I no sabi where that dey come from (ur personal interpretation I guess)... Yes what that Zamfara governor did with his own brand of Sharia was very bad and people died from it so I am very happy that his true colour is being revealed to the world to see.

PS: Get the real picture, What the Zamfara Governor did (His Fake sharia) and real Islam has nothing whatsoever to do with each other. He used his own version of Islam to push his political agenda and this new story is now confirming that.... (After so many innocent lives has been lost, thats my point)

My dear.... the writing no be popularity contest o! Nor am I seeking anybody to validate my stand.... When e concern oppressing fiful or the deaths of any human, I must speak out!
