Cameroon girls battle 'breast ironing'
A nationwide campaign is under way in Cameroon to discourage the widespread practice of "breast ironing". This involves pounding and massaging the developing breasts of young girls with hot objects to try to make them disappear. I think this is barbaric and cruel to those young virgins. What's your take on this hot issue? Read more here.

Inorder to prevent early Kpanshing and attracting men at an early age. They want their daughters to concentrate on their studies.

So that boys and older males wouldn't chase them....thereby enabling them complete their education. I say those reasons are ridiculous and flimsy at best!

FM! to us they may be ridiculous, but to those who live that life daily, it may sound reasonable to them!!!
i'm not supporting what is being done here, just trying to find some reason in my head for why a mother would advocate such for her child!!!

It's just like in some public schools in Nigeria where they don't allow young girls to grow their hair, but breast ironing is just extreme! Wonder why these people never think of long-term consequences of such decision??

Maybe they should introduce something for the men.
In my country, the fullah tribe circumcised their children when they're about 12 to 13 years old.
I can imagine Paj undergoing such a process.

Typical, rather than attack the problem at its roots, we further attack the victims hoping that this will solve the problem.
