Kudos to Naija! This is a sign of progress!

It shows that there will come a time sometime in future when "non-sense and rubbish" wont be tolerated any longer in Naija... babysteps! but we'll get there!
You are actually correct.. This has happened in almost EVERY single goverment at one time or another...

You need to open your "MIND" and learn to "Think outside the Box" sometimes!..or at least before you jump on your keyboard and allow your "non-thinking" fingers run away with you!

Before you allow your idiotic, shallow and myopic sentivities get in the way of your common sense, why dont you think for a min.; [using your own "fire buring" analogy], would you rather have a baby who didnt even attempt to explore its world enough to put his hand into the fire, to at least learn that even though fire burns and causes pain, its still very important to his existence and hence must learn to handle it properly?

Naija is going through "teething pains"! We'd learn to crawl first before we walk.... if all the members of the house nodded, smiled and agreed to turn a blind eye as Mrs Etteh and her cohorts "chopped" our money, would that have been better for the nation in the long run? Wouldnt you rather a "small disgrace" now and then progress, rather than well behaved and "corruption"?

Get-off your sanctimonial high-horse and use your brain!!!

Maxi, nna, where did this come from?? She wasn't abusing you now. She was just stating that we shouldn't applaud the actions....

She didn't know we weren't actually appluading the fight, but the democractic growing pains we are going through. Every single democracy has had some event such as this in it's lifetime. Especially in the early stages. So in so much as we don't condone what occured, it is an interesting thing to see the democratic process taken to such an emotional level, that we reduce ourselves to children... The US democratic process of mudslinging is a prime example...

Cool down now...

Thinking about this some more, even though it was kinda disgraceful that they fought themselves, somehow I am glad to see that at least there are some who believe that what she had done was wrong and where angered by the acts. Perhaps some of our leaders are beginning to "want the best for the masses" after all.

With time perhaps we'll learn to handle these issues in a more mature way, but still I thank God that within the ranks of the house of reps. there are those who recognise a corrupt acts for they are.
