U.S. Deports Convicted Citizen To Nigeria

A convicted United States of America citizen, Grayson Ernest Eugene, has been deported to Nigeria and is now facing a one-count charge of constituting a public nuisance.

Dark complexioned dreadlocks wearing Ernest Eugene, whose only dress since arriving Nigeria is his U.S. prison uniform, claimed that he was born in Greenville, South Carolina in 1963. He has been serving a prison term in the U.S. after being convicted of credit card fraud.

Giving evidence in the matter this morning at the Ebute Metta Magistrate's Court, Eugene told the presiding magistrate, Mr. R. O. Davies, that he was wrongly picked up on the streets of U.S. and deported to Nigeria while he was processing his release programme from the U.S. prison custody.

He also told the court that when he was deported to Nigeria, he quickly went to the U.S. Consulate to seek assistance to enable him return to the U.S.

He said he went to the U.S. Embassy to tender his biodata to them for proper identification.

He, however, told the court that he was surprised when the embassy, rather than help him, ordered security operatives to arrest him for constituting public nuisance.

Since his arrest, Eugene has been in police custody at the SCID Panti until he was recently granted bail by Magistrate R. O. Davies. He has, however, not been able to regain his freedom, even in Nigeria, as there is no one to stand surety for him.

The matter has been adjourned till 16 November for further hearing.

What amazes me about this story is that our government accepted this criminal and I want to know on what grounds. America thinks that Nigeria is now a dumping ground for their criminals.

Why are black Americans called African Americans and the whites are not european americans ? If it were possible all blacks in the U.S would have been sent back to Africa.

All said , he should have been deported back to the U.S immediately .
