Controversial Pastor of the Household of God Church, Reverend Kris Okotie has boasted that nothing, not even the press, can stop him from marrying the mother of three, Stephanie Henshaw, the woman he says, he is madly in love with.

The funky preacher and presidential candidate of Fresh Democratic Party, FDP, during the April 2007 election confirmed that many people have been praying against his marriage to Stephanie, adding that the prayers started right inside his church among the leaders.

“Some people have been praying against my marriage right here on the pulpit because I gave them that privilege to come here and do one or two things,” Okotie told his congregation during the midweek service in his church at Oregun area of Ikeja.

The flamboyant preacher explained that it was normal for him to get married to another woman because his first wife, Tina, left him.

“I had a woman in my life. She left and now I want to marry another one and they won’t let me be,” he said.

Okotie reiterated that he is marrying Stephanie because of her beauty which he described as intimidating.

“She is the most beautiful woman in the world. Those people shouting and screaming are not as beautiful as she is.

“I’m an adult, I can marry anybody even if it is the wrong choice. It is my life and not theirs. I’m not them. Stephanie is the one I’m marrying.

“I have taste and the woman I have chosen to marry now is the most beautiful girl in the world.

“I have tested Stephanie even right here in the church and she passed,” he said.

Okotie also said that he did not care about what the press write about his marriage, adding that anybody was free to go to P.M.News or City People.

“I don’t care about what they think and feel about it. If you like go and tell Seye of City People and Simon Ateba of P.M.News. What is Seye or Simon’s business about who I intend to marry?

“The woman I have decided to marry is a very submissive woman,” he submitted.

The 49-year old divorcee also narrated how a policeman stopped him on his way to church to inquire about a story published in P.M.News on Monday, 3 December, 2007, revealing who he intends to marry.

“A policeman stopped me on Tuesday (this week) while I was driving to church and said: ‘Oga, we have been reading about you in P.M.News and that you are getting married to a mother of three. But don’t mind them it is bad belle (jealousy) that is worrying them’,” Okotie narrated.

Okotie last Sunday had disclosed that he will be getting married to Stephanie Henshaw, a widow and mother of three children who worships in Household of God Church.
