I'm glad WS raised this issue and even put in on the BBC. A senior colleague of mine and I were talking about how all these churches have littered that particular highway causing absolutely horrendous stand still traffic for motorists for miles and miles ahead. Even now, many Lagosians have to plan their trips on when such "camp nites" are taking place. Since when is religious fervor of this sort supposed to abandon all rules of civic duty? Are churches above the law? all law? We've all seen how this played out in English history.....You want to build a church but you give absolutely no considerations to your environment and to the public....

Anyway, me i'm still trying to figure out why our pastors need a private Jet, when Jesus reached the entire world without an okada!

Hello madam, how's Lagos?
The way Soyinka introduces several issues from various countries is just superb, and his use of the English language is absolutely amazing.
