LAGOS, Nigeria - At least 34 people died when a ruptured gasoline pipeline exploded in Nigeria, engulfing scores of people scooping fuel from the gushing leak, police said Wednesday.
The incident at Agbogbo, a village near Nigeria's main city of Lagos, occurred on Tuesday morning, Lagos police spokesman Frank Mbah said.
"We counted a total of 34 bodies at the scene," Mbah told reporters in Lagos.
