Someone said until the White is no more called White house before a black man can live inside it.
Really? Then why is he winning states like Idaho, Utah, Kansas, North Dakota?? States with predominately white voters with historically non diverse communities.

This argument about America not ready for a black President, has been proven false by the way he has been winning middle America. Anyone that still tries to make this argument is simply not paying attention or is chosing to ignore overhwelming evidence to the contrary.

You know this might sound really silly but something struck me about this Obama phenomena, apart from the wonderful candidate he is, from a personality and issues standpoint. As much as America is controlled, run, and influenced by the tabloid media, the entertainment industry and TV and movie celebrity, here's my questions:

Do you think the popularity of the fictional black president, David Palmer, on the very popular TV show, 24, helped in allowing people see the possibility of a black president?

Now this may seem very silly and frivilous but there was a poll once and more than 50% of Americans said they would vote for David Palmer. Silly I know, but remember the Amercian people can be very stupid and swayed by the most ridiculous things....

I don't know, it's just a thought....

I was pretty impressed ...and Im beginning to believe that he just might stand a chance against Mcain !!

.... also its not that America is not ready for a green, black or brown president ....its if the entire country is able to rise above racism and cast a vote for a minority over a full blooded Oyibo man !!!

Im like I dont want a Republican to win this election ...period !!

Behind the privacy of a voting booth in November ...can we rely on people to vote Obama over McCain ???

the hispanics are all leaning towards Hillary ...its evident its for racist reasons ....dats all Im saying !!

Black folk too need to treat their own and other races better ...to improve race relations throughout the country !!

I think it has a very real affect. The very racist "Birth Of A Nation" portrayed a chaotic lawless, white women raping America is black men were allowed to be in government after the civil war. In the movie the KKK comes to the rescue. This had a real affect on the nation at the time. It even increased membership in the KKK.....

So the portrayal of a likeable, strong black president, could seep into the consciousness of the American public and manifest itself in a ways we can't predict.
