Top black leaders (and i use that term loosely) that i dont care for nor their support
Farakhan
Jesee Jackson
and that permed out pimp- whachmallit - ohh i forgot his name sef
Cornel West - He is one interesting character. Many time he makes sense, other times,i'm like Huh?
YouTube - Cornell West interview
i utterly respect Maya Angelou too - but we all know sheis in support of hilary, and thats ok. Everybody have their own personal opinion of whom they support and why.
This Obama thing is so historic and will teach the young and old, that no matter where you come from, even if youstart of us an underdog - you can still succeed. The most impressive thing to me is the fact that his donations surpassed hilary or any of the repo's - even though its coming from small "ordinary" donors and not necessarily filthy rich folks. Its a huge lesson for me even as an adult I mean how is that possible i ask? God is good. I am learning a lot from this election. I have never been into the american politics that much, but i am paying particular attention this year.
My late father who loved politics woulda loved Obama!!!

our thoughts exactly
remember when they were bombarding and alll of a sudden supporting Michael Jackson during his trial. I felt so embarassed. - to get that type of support means one is very desperate and at the bottom of the pit of their situation (Maybe they should Lend Hillary that support, she might need it after the 4th of March)

Obama says he will sharpen criticism
About time, I think!
Obama says he will sharpen criticism
By TOM RAUM, Associated Press Writer
Democratic Sen. Barack Obama on Wednesday blamed his primary defeats in Ohio and Texas on rival Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's criticism and news converage that he argued benefited her at his expense.
The presidential candidate said he planned to do more in the days ahead to raise doubts about his opponent's claims to foreign policy and other Washington experience. In a television ad that her campaign credits with helping her win, she portrayed herself as most prepared to handle an international crisis.
"What exactly is this foreign policy experience?" Obama asked mockingly. "Was she negotiating treaties? Was she handling crises? The answer is no."
Clinton, who was asked in TV interviews Wednesday about her national security qualifications, ticked off a series events in which she played a role, including peace talks in Northern Ireland, the Kosovo refugee crisis and standing up for women's rights in China. She also cited her work on the Senate Armed Services Committee.
Obama's campaign immediately delivered on his pledge to criticize Clinton. Aides distributed a memo and held a conference call to question why she won't release her tax returns. The Clinton campaign responded with a statement e-mailed to reporters while they were on the Obama call that said the Clintons' returns since they left the White House will be made public around April 15.
Obama reflected on the losses that broke a 12-contest winning streak in a talk with reporters aboard his campaign plane as he returned to his hometown of Chicago from San Antonio.
"There's no doubt that Senator Clinton went very negative over the last week," Obama said. He said the Clinton campaign's multiple attacks "had some impact" on the election results "particularly in the context where many of you in the press corps had been persuaded that you had been too hard on her and too soft on me."
"Complaining about the refs apparently worked a little bit this week," he said, equating members of the news media with referees in a sporting event.
"So hopefully in addition to my call to Lorne Michaels, hopefully now people feel like everything's evened out and we can start actually covering the campaign properly," he said.
Obama spokeswoman Jen Psaki said the reference to Michaels, producer of the television comedy show "Saturday Night Live," was a joke. The show has recently featured skits in which actors portraying reporters lob softball questions at an Obama impersonator and hardball ones at a Clinton character. Clinton herself appeared on the show last weekend. Obama was on the show last November.
Obama also complained about what he said was "the notion that somehow all the states I win somehow are not bellwether states but the states that Senator Clinton wins, those are the critical ones."
He said it was "a strange way of keeping score and I don't think it makes much sense."
As to tactics ahead, Obama said that Clinton "made a series of arguments on why she should be a superior candidate. I think it's important to examine that argument."
"We're happy to join the debate, If that's the debate they want to have," Obama said, noting Clinton's efforts to portray him as lacking her level of experience. "In the coming weeks, we will join her in that argument."
Obama also brushed off a question about a joint ticket with Clinton. "We are just focused on winning this nomination," he said. "I think it is premature to start talking about a joint ticket."
Obama had nothing on his public schedule Wednesday and Thursday. Friday, he flies to Wyoming to campaign and was also expected to go to Mississippi over the weekend — sites of the next two Democratic contests.

When God say yes, who can say no? Win or lose Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island, if it's Obama's chance to shine as US president, who can stop him? But if God says the time is not yet, then so be it. I still love him, he's making black folks proud.

Experience?!?!
My younger brother has just had it with people touting Hilary's experience. This is an actual email I got from him today!
I think other Obama supporters would totally agree with him!
--------
Since the political pundents are touting that Hillary is the candidate with the experience to lead. They say*that is why she won in Texas and Ohio, and that the AD that she ran with the phone ringing, was the thing that shifted the tides her way.*People were asking themselves, "who WILL answer that phone?" they even had a Texas man on TV this morning saying, "I want someone who knows what they are doing."
They say like any job experience tops judgment and all Barack will have is a keen Judgement, if that is that case then why do companies hire college students? Why not have the same guys from Enron run the company. Heck why don't they run all the companies. What about entertainment, Jay Leno, he never hosted the tonight show before, he was young, and Dave Letterman had way more experience. And lets not let Dan Marino, Bart Star, or Jack Nickolas, retire. They have too much experience, no one else can play it better. why let a rookie like Lebron James in the league he is still wet behind the ears. Serena who? where is Martina (Navartolova)?? She is the only one we should watch or maybe Billie Jean King.
And if it is experience that they are looking for, then the logic should follow that we should ALL vote for John McCain. he has the most experience of them all, he even ran for president before, and he is a war hero.
Besides, when did being the president's wife qualify as experience? So is Laura Bush now qualified to run for president? She has Eight years as First lady of the country, and 4 years and the First lady in Texas. We better watch out.
What nonsense!
People in this country are sheep and they believe anything that is thrown at them.
I am telling you, if Hillary wins the nomination, I will not only vote for John McCain, I will join his campaign and recruit other voters.
This black tax is making me sick.
Did they be tout this experience crap at John Edwards when he 1st ran for senate? how about Hillary when she ran in NY they first time abound for senate? or was she experience then?
It is a shame, a real shame.
That's all I got to say.

@Sidney,i feel your brother real deep.
It amazes me how people hold on to silly innuendoes and half-truths.First lady is neither an executive position nor an elective one so how does it translate to experience.Did she ever sign international treaties as first lady?.Take decisions that have any value more than adding good old jellow or banana split ice-cream to the desert menu in the white house bcos hubby Bill got stuck to them growing up in Hope-Arkansas .What experience are we talking about then? She got so negative that she even said that Mcain would make a better president than Obama .
Now that Obama has decided to really scrutinize her claims, lets see how she would fare. She even hallucinated with a likely double ticket with herself on top. How?The following weeks would introduce a quick decent to oblivion as per her bogus dreams.Just that they are using precious time that should have been used in getting ready for November thereby helping republicans who already finished with the nomination issue. She can strcth it as long as she likes,it is near impossible to catch up with Obama as per the number of delegates.
We are closely watching!YES WE CAN | |
