woman abandons kids, runs off to nigeria to marry internet lover!
Eight children were found at a roach-infested home with no food, money or toilet paper, alone while their the mom of six of them went to Nigeria to marry a man she met on the internet . The youngest, a 1-year-old boy, was dehydrated, malnourished and lost consciousness as he was being treated by emergency workers.
All eight children are in foster care now and are doing well physically and emotionally.
The children are expected to remain in foster care until a Jan. 16 custody hearing.
Family members said that they've known about the mother's plans to travel to Nigeria to marry for about a year, but they didn't realize she had left and don't have any contact information.
"That was disgusting and deplorable," an officer with the Harris County Sheriff's Office said "The way they were living is not the way a dog should live."
She may have left thinking her children were in really good hands. She may have a really good explanation," a spokeswoman for Child Protective Services. said. "In this case, if it's a lack of judgment, if it's chaos happening in the home, the law really allows parents up to one year to fix the problem."
"There was no food in the home, and Mom didn't leave them any money," she said. "The 15-year-old said she had to steal food and diapers."

I'm guessing she lives in the states? This woman must be crazy very crazy leaving her kids to run off with an internet lover in Nigeria. I find it difficult to believe that we still have gullible women out there. Stupid woman when some people are looking for children and God has blessed this one and look at how she's treating them.

The mother of six children who left them home alone on New Year's eve and flew to Nigeria to marry a man she met on the Internet. is still in Nigeria.
Social workers were called to her home Jan. 2 after it was reported that eight children were left alone.
One child said that their mother left them with no food and no diapers for the baby. She also said she was forced to steal food and diapers from stores.
When emergency workers arrived, they found the children hungry and the youngest child, a 1-year-old baby, showing signs of malnutrition.
The woman left Houston on New Year's Eve after telling her 15-year-old daughter that she would return in a month after marrying her Internet boyfriend.
She contacted the Child Services investigator last week by phone and in a brief, one-minute conversation, informed her she thought she had left her children in the care of relatives and it was not her intent to abandon them.
The agency has not heard from her since.
She informed relatives that she intends to come home this weekend but they have not been able to confirm that arrival date. Others say the soonest she could leave Nigeria would be Jan. 23.
