A Conversation About Race & Meeting David Wilson

Man tracks family's past in slavery - Meeting David Wilson - MSNBC.com

This Friday at 9 p.m. ET, MSNBC will premiere Meeting David Wilson, the story of a young man's reconciliation with his ancestors' history as slaves. Immediately following at 10:30 p.m. on MSNBC, NBC News will present A Live Conversation About Race. The 90-minute live discussion, which will be broadcast from Howard University's Washington campus and stream simultaneously on msnbc.com, will focus on racial themes in America. NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams will moderate the event.

Joining Williams as panelists for A Live Conversation About Race are some of America's more important voices on issues facing our nation including radio host Tom Joyner, author Michael Eric Dyson, entrepreneur Malaak Compton-Rock, screenwriter Kriss Turner, writer Kevin Powell, and columnist Mike Barnicle. i just finished watching the 90 mins documentary - very moving docu. The white guy David B Wilson, was really nice and answered most of the the black David A. Wilson questions. They were very civil towards each other, and spoke their minds. No high emotions.

Now they have on the panel discussion now (10.30 EST) I am eager to see whats discussed - Michael Eric Dyson on the panel, now that i cant miss. He is interesting to hear speak. Here we go with his poetry like speech.

(By the way B Wilson traced his ancestors and found out they were Ashantis - the scene at Cape Coast castle was quite emotional as well expected)
