Kind of barbaric stuff that keeps us in the stone age. What court adjudicated and sentenced them to be killed in such a horrible manner? Many innocent souls have lost their lives like this, and it can happen to anyone of us...God keep us from being in the wrong place at the right time. The mob has no brain.
Instead of them to kill the people chopping their money and killing them, they're killing poor men like themselves...Morons...

...I understand wetin U mean...the Govt has turned many to armed robbers...God help them if they were wrongly accused....however...if they were indeed thieves or armed robbers, many knows their possible faith of they get caught...these robbers themselves can be really ruthless U know....
....there was a while ago in Naija I had to bail out a 10year old that was about to be mobbed...I was perhaps about 15 or so myself...hearing the chants of "Ole!Ole!" I thought U'd been caught again.. so I ran downstairs with my 2by4 pako to take part in the beatdown....only to find a confused kid being slapped around...being that this was my 'hood,I stepped in and claimed I sabi the boy..that was the only way they reluctantly backed out...he'd stolen a loaf of bread on Oluwadare street(ProudlyIfreke go sabi dat street cause he lives in nearby)....if not...only God knows....sometimes U can't always blame the crowd U know...the lady I mentioned above was burned to death on my school field in CMS Bariga for trying to steal a kid (gbomogbomo)....she didn't stand a chance...she roasted like a goat and smelled like one.....I was dazed for days...

Gooooddd!!!!! What is this!! Some Nigerians are sooo heartlesss. Devils! I saw something like this when i was about 10 yrs old in Naija. How can you burn someone alive and sleep at night!? Dont these people know that this sin they are committing will follow them from generation to generation? Maybe that's why Nigeria is so back ward. When a country keeps doing things like this to their own people, how can you expect God's blessings on your land. No matter what someone has done, nobody deserves to be burnt alive! WTF!!

This is even worse than armed robbery. I just hope God forgives them all. But then, can u blame them, when people are frustrated with the constant terror that the public go thru with these armed robbers.

Simi you are so right.... But I have always felt there is so much more to the causes of the events that leads to these acts.
These acts, the armed robbery and the public retaliation is sometimes born, but often fueled by the poverty and despair of the parties involved. Although, general bad human intentions, and evil, plays a part, but poverty, suffering and the helplessness felt by the under privileged in Nigeria is often the root cause... The victims, both robber and the robbed, cannot even count on a good or simply responsive police force to protect them.
I had always wonder why armed robbers was so ruthless. It is born from an anger and a greed that cannot be satisfied by conventional or legal or non violent means. They can't attack the other thieves in government and big business, so they terrorize other poor and helpless people they can reach. And the expend their anger upon them. The victims then in turn unleash their own anger on any captured assailants in kind. It is a terrible cycle that is fueled by poverty, helplessness and despair.
Armed robbery in countries with a closer gap between rich and poor, are perpetrated by low level, less intelligent crooks. There are so many other ways to get wealth, many non violently. In addition there are rules of law that gives stiffer penalties for crimes of a violent nature... If we have these laws in Nigeria, there is little honest, or even, enforcement. When at times the police themselves terrorize the populous more than any other entity.. So where does the public turn to for justice... Themselves.
It is truly sad....

@Sidney,thank you plenty for the apt response to this burning issue. It remains my position that an irresponsible government creates crimes and the governed is bound to commit the crime. That however does not nullify the existence of outright kleptomanias that would naturally fall out of the crime and poverty co-relation,arguement.

Though some thieves don't deserve to die but if we look at how people's lives have been terrorized one wouldn't give a damn about them. But what I don't understand about people burning these thieves is that they burn thieves who steal bread and kobos but can't burn the ones that are heavily armed -this is where I have a problem with burning thieves. Most thieves burned were kobo kobo thieves while the real ones walk around like nothing go happen to them or if caught they take them to the police station where they'd be bailed and go right back to the street!

...Nna..as much as I agree with U to a certain point,I disagree with some of it.There are a lot of wealthy armed robbers......so they're not doing it out of 'poverty'.Shina Rambo was no pauper..he had his conglomerate of channels to funnel stolen vehicles out of Nigeria.Yes,some got into it out of poverty, but when they saw how lucrative it is,they chose never to go legit..kinda like doing 419.Besides,this is nothing new in Nigeria..the worst thing anyone can do to U in Nigeria is to scream "OLE!" on U and U're done...but in cases where there's a real thief/robber being apprehended, they all know going into the act what their fates would be.THat's why if U understand any Yoruba, one of the folks in that video was saying "Let them feel the pain too.."...imagine..that's because these robbers inflict so much pain on the public @ large. It never used to be like that...but then in the mid 70's that's when this whole jungle justic business started. For those of U saying this is barbaric, have U ever been stopped by armed robbers before? Please ask anyone who has...and ask what they think of this video..
