By creating a conscious effort about it. Many people doesnt even know the term poverty or what it meant to live in poverty and they got the resource. I will so love it if they can have a campaign in Nigeria.

That’s true...but by creating awareness (which has already been done by heaps of compassion/charity organizations) doesn’t still mean you can eradicate poverty completely. Most of these poverty stricken countries are lacking good government and management of their resources. All the same am in total support of Live8 and other programs aimed at minimising the poor population. We all got to start from somewhere.

Secondly, let's say the debt is dropped it still will not put foods on the tables of impoverished families, I was also disappointed to find out that the concert was not intended to raise money, but just "awareness." The continent is way to corrupt, and until our people resolve to make a change in their ways, starting from the top, it will be difficult to minimize poverty, let alone eradicate it from Africa. However, I do applaud Bono and the other artists for their efforts, they sincerely have good intentions.

I was too. almost everyone is aware of poverty..maybe not as much in depth before the show. The media, charity organisations, religious groups and a whole lot of other sources have covered this for a long time. They can keep creating awareness or reminding us that poverty exists, unless solutions are offered-Its all vanity!
