Am not suprised one bit. The quality of Nigerian education is deteriorating every second. If it’s not strike, its exam malpractice or certificate/ grade point manipulation or the poor teacher to student ratio, or the emphasis on knowledge cramming rather than understanding/ experience. Only about 5% of graduates can be deemed industry materials.

We excel because we are naturally talented! But Nigerian students travel we have to meet the western Standards to be able to get admission which involves working harder than usual. Also if you have done previous studies you don’t get exemptions for all the courses you did back home due to the lack of in-depth coverage. Many supposedly graduates from Nigeria come here and end up with menial jobs, most people who intended on studying high professional courses have to get a first degree on a basic science course to be qualified for the course of their choice. The truth is the quality of our education is going down the drain!

Who's to be blame here? The students, the schools, or employers with insufficient training?
