abacha tried to kill babangida so story is babagandia wanted to return the favor. there are still some who believe that the orders to poison abacha came from babangida.

we'll all never really know.

If OBJ can get the Ppl's mandate to run for a third term, that's fine by me. It's not that there aren't better/more credible ppl that can lead naija to the 'promised land', but who'll vote for such a person? And even if them vote for am, dem go dabaru the thing. Considering the way Politics works in naija.. it'll be extremely hard for anyone better than him to get elected into office, without mago-mago/arrangee/rigging. Personally, I can settle for Atiku replacing OBJ, but the IBB factor makes that possibility seem a bit far-fetched. I'll rather OBJ remain president for life than see IBB return to Aso Rock. OBJ, notwithstanding his flaws, has enoff vision, good intentions and the necessary political clout to manage naija better than any other feasible contender for his position -- most of the real power-brokers and political big-wigs in virtually ALL the different ethnic groups [atleast the ones that matter/have REAL political clout/power] respect and trust him better than any other to protect their interests, whatever their real motives (in my opinion, he's perhaps the most detribalized leader the country's ever had). So, in light of all that, I think he's the BEST naija can hope for under the circumstance. Abeg let's be realistic. That's just my opinion sha.
