Dapo Oyebanjo a.k.a. D’banj, the Koko Master, had one of his finest moments in Accra, Ghana, as he claimed the Best African Artiste of the year in the just concluded Ghana Music Awards.
The “Koko Master”, who will be 26 on 9 June, is set to celebrate the birthday with a new album entitled MO’Hits.
He is featuring other artistes on the MO’Hits Records namely SID (the son of Justus Esiri), Wande Coal, Kay Switch (rapper and D’banj’s younger brother) D Prince (rapper and Don Jazzy's younger brother) and Don Jazzy himself.
Investigations revealed that the video works of four of the songs were shot in Ghana and will be on popular television stations across the world soon.
Some of the songs are Stop the Violence Anakonda, Why Me (remix), Move Your Body, Ololufe and others.
Speaking with Entertainment Cafe, D’banj said he is happy that the award has confirmed his superiority in the genre of hip-hop music and to tell doubting Thomases that D’banj is real.
He is the Deputy CEO of MO’Hits records while Don Jazzy is the CEO.
