But Okocha (the genius) was in very good form. This year, his form hasn't been good. I don't know why he's been struggling in the premiership this season. I don't think Nigeria will win the Nations cup because they always self-destruct at the most important time.

...that's left to be seen...people complained about Okocha before he even went to England....complained about Kanu before this season began....the only thing that hurt Naija last ANC was lack of firepower upfront after we sent home Yakubu and two others(another striker and Babayaro) for indiscipline and Aghahowa got injured....this year..we have more able bodied folks upfront and a better midfield...even if Okocha no come we have others that can fill in just fine..like I said..watch out for Okocha's heir:John Mikel Obi..

Never compare Okocha and John Mikel Obi. They're not even in the same class.
I still think Ghana will not loose to Nigeria.

.....I know they're not in the same class...however..the boy is yet to show what he can do in adult shoes...I see U're just as shaken as the rest of them...you're softening your position from "Ghana will beat Nigeria" to "Ghana will not lose to Nigeria"...spindoctoring in action...

Ghana's strongest position was definitely their midfield. They had the best midfield in Africa, but right now it's a depleted midfield. Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari are very good players and they'll walk straight into the midfield of any African country. There's another good Ghanian midfielder called Baba Adamu. Iwas surprised he was left out of the original squad in the first place. This could be an opportunity for him to shine. Watchout for him cos he's good.

..well...we shall see now..abi? Obi has been compared by many to Michelle Platini and I'm sure U know what that means.. I dont know about 'walking right through' because U seem to forget Nigeria also has mercurial midfielders in Okocha,Obodo and Kanu...not to mention Wilson Oruma(Marseille..but not my favorite) and Obi Mikel...it's gonna be a battle! And also..no one seems to be talking about Senegal...we all know Senegal's mainframe is their midfield also....I dont see Ghana 'walking' through that...

I just heard from Skysports news that Ghana's Michael Essien has started light training and he could be back "much sooner than expected". Fingers crossed, he'll be around to reap Nigera to shreads. I just hope he starts intensive training in time.

Nigeria will use Ghana as walkover, the squad is determined to show the world that Nigeria not been in world cup doesn’t mean they are in the same league with Ghana.

You are very right, Ghana's strongest position is their midfield. However, they have no subs to back them up if their starters are injured like Nigeria's squad......

....Oruma would have to prove himself O!He's been given a couple chances and blew them...and in a midfield that has Okocha in it..there aint too many spaces for error if U're gonna compete for Oga(JJ)'s boots... ..first in a friendly against Ireland...we were already up 2-0..going for a clean slate when Oruma came in and ...mislapped a rebounding ball in the box and before he knew it an Irish guy had blasted it home....and not to mention the penalty kick against Senegal four years ago...then of course...the game against Algeria in Oran....remember he was subbed out?He works hard and means well..I know..but Omo..this na soccer..not a church...we dont forgive very easily..
